1998 Volvo S70 - Cracked Window Washer Container How complicated and/or expensive is it to replace the plastic container that holds the window washer fluid. Mine has a crack and is starting to leak the fluid, so I know it's just a matter of time before it won't hold the fluid at all I'd appreciate advice as to how much trouble and expense this will likely be.

Labor is about 1/3 hour plus the cost of the part. Get one from a junyard with the pump so you don't have to transfer the pump. car-part.com

Cannot place where it is on the vehicle ,sorry iam a general mechanic not a dealer fitter some cars are under the inner wing so its a wheel off and remove the plastic inner wing ,some cars are behind the front bumper so its a bumper off job other have the bottle under the engine bay so relative easy to change .You will just have to have a look and then decide if its a garage job or a home DIY .

Washer fluid not coming out

I believe there are two hoses coming off the "elec pump" attached to the near bottom of the fluid container. One hose might be detached or clogged.

I doubt you'll be able to see the electric pump from under the hood looking down sooooo,

If the container is on the passengers side, Start the car and turn the steering wheel to the left (Then shut off the car) to give you room to remove the plastic undercover and check out the pump which should be directly behind it.

Remove a few plastic clips or machine screws holding the undercover plastic up in the wheel well and pull enough of the plastic down or away to get a good look at the electric pump and hoses. It's probably working whereas you said fluid reaches the rear window but- if you could have someone be inside the car turning the "washer" on, you, being very close to the pump, should hear a whinning sound which would be the pump. Maybe you can detect if there is a problem at the pump or the hose connector. Try pulling off one hose at a time to see if fluid comes out of each. I suspect one hose needs to be cleaned out or maybe it's cracked not allowing the fluid to get to it's destination.

My window will not roll up. How can I tell if it is the switch, motor or regulator? 1998 Volvo s70

If your switch is bad, there will be no function up or down, nor will your hear the faint click at the motor in the door.
If the motor is bad it usually rolls down, because it takes less effort, but will struggle or die out when going up.
If the regulator is bad, it'll usually affect the gear teeth on the motor, causing the window not to hold its position resulting in the window dropping down on its own.

1998 volvo s70..i took apart steering column..there is a white connecter behind wiper switch not connected to anything, what is it.

It is a connection for the rear wiper/washer on the V70 wagon. The same dash harness is used for both models so that connector just hangs there on the S70.

Ford Ka 1.3 T reg. Front window washer not working

look for washer fluid container under hood, follow small hose underneath it to washer motor pump, once you find it check conector to it, if ok unplug and connect direct 12v power to it, if it works check clogging of hoses and exit holes at windshield, if not then replace it..
