The bank 2 sensor2 is used to check that your catylitic converter is working on that side of the exhaust. without seeing the car and doing sensor tests, it would be a gamble to say replace the sensor. so you can replace it and see what happens or take it to your favorite shop for further diagnosis

91 Sierra 1500 5.7 l. starts and runs fine, but starts cutting out badly after warming up out on the road. It will sit idling 15 + minutes before it starts to skip a little.

you can try to clean out the 02 sensors I had a problem like this in a 05 saturn. The 02 sensor that I cleaned was located towards the front of the engine behind the fan right in the middle of the car. the sensor was all powdery and black, i would brush it off with a wire brush that worked for me and then I learned of the ethanol in gas so I got ethanol free gas, used for boats and I never had that problem again. and never had to replace the 02 sensor.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON. WAS TOLD IT WAS THE 02 SENSOR/VALVE. WHERE DO I FIND THIS? GMC SIERRA 1500

You should have 5, O2 sensors on your Sirera. What are the DTC codes, each codes will indicate which O2 sensor needs to be addressed, or is this an answer with someone guess what the check engine light is saying.
Thye check engine light could be from a bad O2 sensor to just a bad or loose gas cap to a transmission issues.
Thank you for using fixya and note that Auto Zone and most larger auto parts store will scan DTC codes free of charge.

My 2003 GMC Sierra idles rough and cut off sometimes when turning.Replaced fuel filter and changed plugs.engine light stays on.Which 02 sensors do i need to replace first? Before converter or after...

Before replacing the O2 sensors, I would check the fuel pressure. You may also try to have someone pull a trouble code from the powertrain control module to verify why the engine light is on. Do not replace any parts until this is done, otherwise your going to be guessing at the root cause, and it will get expensive with part replacement.

93 gmc sierra running rich no computer codes

Oxygen sensor[s],map sensor and fuel pressure regulator.Although you should have a check engine light "on" with any sensor malfunction.I would look at fuel lines for a leak under vehicle.

The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the described symptoms.

Condition/Concern:
Check Engine Light with a P0300 due to 2 - 4 cylinders misfiring on the same bank of the engine. DTCs P0171, P0172, P0174 or P0175 may also set for the misfiring bank.

Recommendation/Instructions:
If the published misfire diagnostic does not isolate the cause, perform the following suggestions as necessary:
  • Perform a fuel injector balance test for all 8 cylinders. If a fuel injector concern exists, it is possible to misfuel an entire bank of the engine, causing multiple cylinders on the same bank to misfire even though the root cause is a single fuel injector.
  • Inspect O2 sensor connections on the misfiring bank for corrosion or water intrusion. If water intrusion is found on the right bank, it may be due to the AC Evaporator Condensation dripping onto the O2 sensor harness. If this condition is found, reposition and shield the harness to prevent a repeat concern and repair the connections.
  • Check for excessive exhaust backpressure using the restricted exhaust diagnosis.
  • Swap the Position 1 O2 sensors side to side to see if the misfires move to the other bank of the engine. If so, replace the O2 sensor.
Please follow this diagnosis process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.

NOTE: GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition.
