Both inside back door handles broke in my 2007 Dodge Nitro. Where would I look for replacements?

Remove door panel, then unbolt handle. Verify no screws in door panel then yank. Screws probably in armrest and by door handle, maybe under switch pod lid

I see you are ale to see the cables and rods how and when they operate. When you to open the latch from the outside and the inside. Are you able to see if they move the mechanism up or down as you try to open the door working the latch outside and the inside door handle. Sounds like your door latch broke internally, the only thing I was able to do was from the inside with somebody holding the outside latch up to open. Kick it hard in the area where the door latch is. Lay on the sit and kick it hard while the outside individual lifts the latch and pulls. It should pop open. Good luck.

1. Remove door trim and the trim bezel. - 6
2. Take off the fastener from around the door handle trim - 5,4
3. Now you nee to remove the cap and screw covers with a panel tool or a small screwdriver. 3,4
4. Turn out the screws off the door trim. 2,4
5. Remove the window switch and unhook the connector.
6. Remove the trim panel from the 4 way around the handle of the panel trim. 4
7. Now gently lift up on the door panel and out.

seems like an autobody shop would be the place to go for that.

A diagram wont be necessary for that.it should be just a clip and one bolt to remove the old handle once u remove the door panel.

you will need to remove the inner door lining to get to the door lock it could be that the lock pull has come off thats an easy fix,

your local dodge dealer.

I had my hadle break the other day. I went to the dealership and they wanted $170.00 to replace. The door handle was $60 by it self (for a piece of plastic)!! I read a solution on here that used epoxy putty (JB Weld for Plastic) find it at your hardware store and it worked. Pushing the latch out to touch the handle, I used the epoxy putty on the break and taped the handle to the door to apply pressure and now it's strong as steel. I spent $5.50 for the epoxy putty and saved over $160. Let another handle break, I'm ready!!!!

The dealership wanted too much to replace it so I bought Mighty Putty and fixed it myself, it has been fine for 5 months now. I just read that the dealership is one of the ones they are closing. Good they charge too much, they hit me up for $800 on my 35000 service
