Where is the timing marks on a 1991 geo pirzm? also what is the firing order?

does it run now? cap too? and HV wires? (yes,y and y ,i guess)
if runs: (mark wires properly, 1,2,3,4 as they go, cap and wires marked ! 1 is front, firing order is 1,3,4,2.
1: off the cap, mark rotor position at dizzy body. tip to body edge.
Do not crank over the engine, (by hand or keys)
2: put it back ,with rotor same place.
easy huh?
but if you lost the timing, its 8 steps. (not counting the fine tune)

there are 2 engines, watch out those rag books mix them in a toxic soup. ( a real FSM is cheap and far better (ask)
8v it the TBI engine, single injector. I restored a 91 to mint, condition.
why not use numbers, low means zero, 150PSI wide open throttle is normal, and more warm or hot.
the 8v dizzy turns backwards from the 16v
your rotor turns CW, clock wise, crank it and watch it....
so the wires must be laid down per last link below.
if lots of advice, in fact could get it going in 1hr or less. hands on.
when you put the belt in, did you use the right marks?
there are false marks there for other engine usage.
the 60a mark is correct the 80c is wrong.
if you get that wrong, there is no hope. thus this page

1234 ACROSS THE FRONT OF ENGINE. 1-3 4-2 FOR WIRES

Firing order - 1 - 3 - 4 - 2

Cylinder # 1 is to the left when viewing the engine from the front of the car. They are, left to right, 1 - 2 - 3 - 4.

Looking from the side of the distributor... starting from the top right counter clockwise it's 1 - 3 - 4 - 2

your timing may be off because of the valve timing. have you seen this done before or you just trying your luck. i really dont know but are all of your sensors the same? is the firing order the same?

The cam position lines up with a notch in the tin piece that the timing belt cover bolts too.

The crank lines up with a boss located on the front of the block about 1 o clock to the right.

there is a small mark on the cam pully that must point strait down to the mark on the crank shaft timing pully. the mark on the crank pully is a bit hard to see but it is a low spot on the inside area. also lines up with the keyway grove in the pully.

The timing marks are located near the top of the crankshaft pulley on the plastic timing belt cover. There is a notch in the pulley to mark TDC (Top Dead Center)
Align the notch with the 0 mark on the plastic cover to set your base timing.
Ground the proper circuit on the ALDL connecter located under the dashboard somewhere under the steering wheel. Check the manual for the proper circuit to ground.
With the engine warm and the circuit grounded. Set the proper timing. Un-ground the circuit and you are done.
