My blazer does not blow any hot it does blow cold but also i'll put it on defrosters and it just continues to blow out of vents it wont switch out of vents.. any ideas?

Check the blender door:

Removal & Installation

  1. Disconnect the electrical connector to the mode actuator that is located on the left side of the air distribution case.
  2. Remove the screws.
  3. Remove the adjuster links from the control lever.
  4. Remove the mode actuator.
  5. Adjust the mode actuator by completing the following steps:
    • Connect the electrical connector to the actuator.
    • Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position. Allow the self-positioning of the actuator.
    • Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.
    • Remove the actuator from the electrical connection.
To install:
  1. Install the mode actuator.
  2. Install the screws.
  3. Install the adjuster links to the control lever.
  4. Connect the electrical connector.
  5. Test the circuit operation

The other thing it may be with the heat is the heater water control valve:

Removal & Installation CAUTION Never open, service or drain the radiator or cooling system when hot; serious burns can occur from the steam and hot coolant. Also, when draining engine coolant, keep in mind that cats and dogs are attracted to ethylene glycol antifreeze and could drink any that is left in an uncovered container or in puddles on the ground. This will prove fatal in sufficient quantities. Always drain coolant into a sealable container. Coolant should be reused unless it is contaminated or is several years old.

  1. Drain the cooling system.
  2. Remove the access panel nut near the pollen filter.
  3. Remove the access panel.
  4. Remove the following components from the hot water flow control valve:
    • The vacuum hose
    • The remaining hose clamps
    • The remaining hoses
  5. Remove the hot water flow control valve.

To install:
  1. Install the hot water flow control valve.
  2. Install the following hot water flow control valve components:
    • The hoses
    • The hose clamps
    • The vacuum hose
  3. Install the access panel.
  4. Install the access panel nut until fully seated and not stripped.
  5. Fill the cooling system.

    Heater water control valve

    This is in your engine compartment.

Vents won't blow hot or cold air. Comes from defrost and feet when you put fan on.
It's the vent actuator, it moves the baffle that changes the direction of the air flow.
Here is a video of a broken vacuum hose that creates the same problem.

It could also be a failed actuator.

My front defroster does not work but the back heater works.. if the van is running it will heat up but when you start driving the gage goes back to cold it blows cold but defroster wont work at all
Change the thermostat. Follow the top radiator hose to the engine. There is to T stat. That will get your heat back. on the defroster, it doesn't blow out air? doesn't switch vents? or just not get hot? Year make and model please.

My switch for defrost, vents and feet doesn't switch back and forth it only blows out the defrost vents by the windshield. Hot is hot in AC is cold but only blows up by the windshield
This may be caused by a loose or cracked vacuum line if the system uses vacuum actuators to control the vanes.

Heat wont blow through heater or defroster vents
common problem, check under dash by the gas pedal if control arms are muving went selecting from ac to heat cuz this it is the control for the vents to go from ac to heat and to defrost.
