Beginning immediately all manual transmission applications
requiring MERCON can now be serviced using MERCON-V
or MERCON Automatic Transmission Fluid or dual usage fluids
labeled MERCON/MERCON-V. After July 1, 2007,
MERCON Automatic Transmission Fluid will no longer be
manufactured, therefore, availability of this fluid will
only continue for however long it takes to deplete what
remains in inventory.

What is maximum fluid pressure in a hydraulic clutch system on a 1987 Ford Ranger 2.9 V6 4WD? This truck has a manual 5 speed Mitsubishi transmission.

Why do you need the pressure? I do not know of any gauge to check this pressure. If fluid does not come out when you pressure bleed the system, then you have a clutch master cylinder problem. It may have air in it , or may need to be replaced.

What type of fluid goes in a 1994 ford xl ranger 5 speed manual transmission?

Typically 90weight, but just ask the autostore. Sometimes in older trannies one might add a qt of automatic tranny fluid to soften the shifting as syncros wear.

Kia optima 2008 how many quarts transmission fluid and what type

This info should be in your owners manual.
The 4 speed trans shows a total fill of 8 quarts and the 5 speed shows a total fill of 10 quarts. Just changing the filter should be half that amount for each transmission.
There are trans fluids for multi-brands of import cars, Dextron may also work.
Again, check your owners manual or look on the dipstick.

Im wondering if the fluid in a 91 5 speed ford rangers transmission and t-case is the same? and if so what type of fluid. i drained the transmission and its way to thin for it.

  • 80/90 gear lube for both. Regardless of how it looks, that's what you need to use.

Changing clutch on a 2003 ford ranger how do I

Well to start, you need to remove the shifter from the transmission. Then remove the driveshaft. Then unplug the plugs from the side of the transmission and disconnect the clutch fluid line. Then remove the crossmember. Unbolt the bellhousing bolts. Then have a friend help you remove the transmission. Then unbolt the clutch.
