If you're talking about the Anti-Theft Security code for your radio, I'm fairly sure that only a BMW Dealership would be able to retrieve and reset the radio.

You could also try disconnecting the battery terminals for 10-20 minutes, and see if it resets.

Try pulling out your tail light then following your wires. you should have four going into the socket one for running light, brake light, and turn, follow those down. till you find where they go and if they keep going then those are not your ground. go back to the socket and take that last wire that runs down follow it till you get to the spot that it is grounded to and some times it will be grounded in with your license plate lights. if not directly to the frame

Left turn signal only works sometime

It's likely that moisture intrusion over time has corroded the socket and/or the base of the bulb causing an intermittent open circuit.

Clean the socket with a small tubular shaped wire brush* and compressed air. Install a new bulb.

*The wire brush used to clean the inside of a 1/2" copper tube fittings prior to soldering. Hardware & Home Improvement stores have them.

Click on the link.
This is for turn signals. Get at the turn signal switch. See the purple wire, L terminal on top of turn signal switch in diagram, that should go hot with key on, use jumper wire from that terminal to one of the wires on bottom of turn signal switch in diagram, those are, front/rear, left/right turn signals. If the turns signals work properly with the jumper, but, other wise don't, the problem should be the turn signal switch. If it still doesn't work properly, you would have to check wiring circuits.
Sometimes a faulty ground can cause weird problems. Sometimes the bulb doesn't make good contact in the bulb socket? Try putting a little pressure on the bulb in the bulb socket, see if it starts working?

Right turn signal does't work

check bulbs . also check connection of bulb socket (sometimes the socket can get corroded)
simple way to check to see if getting power to that side; take same gauge wire(on bulb wiring), from battery to just before bulb socket. if works then problem is more likely to be in turn signal switch.
try jiggling the turn signal switch when putting on right signals.
last option, check wire from switch to bulb.
ford has had a lot of problems with electrical stuff such as doorlocks, switches.

My right turning signal sometimes doesnt work. The light in the dash stays on, but doesnt flash. When this happens the front light stays on when the signal is applied, but the back one doent work. Ive...

  1. Turn 4 way (hazard) lights on check to see that all lights are flashing if rear is not flashing suspect bad ground since 4way usually goes through brake light.
  2. If everything flashes you may have a bad flasher relay find it replace it.
  3. If light still will not flash check light socket by removing bulb & looking for burnt melted contacts or plastic. You find any of these problems consider replacing socket.
  4. If you do not find any problems with socket use a cheap test prob connect alligator clip to metal ground near socket with bulb out turn on blinker carefully touch each contact inside socket when you find the right contact prob should light up & blink.
  5. If you cannot get prob to blink move prob ground to new location do step 4 again.
  6. If you still get no blink start probing wires coming into socket until prob lights working away from socket.
  7. Ground is on the side of the socket when you look in it.

1996 328i lights not working

Do you have to pull something to turn on your headlight?
If yes, then don't pull it all the way back. You can pull that thing three time.
first pull will make you speedometer and all other things glow
second pull will turn on the HEADLIGHT
and the last (i.e. the third pull) will make your High Beam turn on
Hope this help, I have a 1996 BMW too.
