I have a hyudai santa fe 2002 model and my keyless remote has lost the code as the batt went flat.I have been unable to find the ECTAS unit as described in searchs on the internet.Maybe Australian models dont have one.Does anyone have any ideas or do I have to pay the $55 the dealer wants to do it
I have a suziki baleno the batteries went flat in one controller and had the same problem i was told that one of my controllers sets the code and the other is just to open and close car try renewing both controller batteries and see what happens it worked for me
Well, you basically have only 3 choices:
1. Pay the fee at the dealership
2. Purchase the high-dollar equipment that is required to perform the programming procedure
3. Forget about adding another key fob to tor vehicle.

DESCRIPTION:
The security system keyless adapter cable (SPX/Kent-Moore P/N 09900-21300) is a special service tool (SST) that is used for programming new keyless entry remote transmitters to the factory security systems. The keyless adapter is used in conjunction with the Hi-Scan Pro (with Hi-Scan SOL Pro Software Version 09-29-03 or newer) and Data Link Connector (DLC) Cable.
