To manually check air bag codes, turn the key On and push the driver's door switch (at the bottom of the B-pillar) 5 times or more within 7 seconds of turning the key ON. Then watch the air bag light flashing codes. The air bag light will come ON for 3 seconds and then give fast flashes if there is a code. Count the fast flashes as the code. So the air bag light on for 3 seconds and then 8 flashes is a code 8 for the passenger air bag circuit. after counting code clear codes and see if they come back

How to reset AIRBAG SRS Light on 2003 - 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe

Hi, on most vehicles, the airbag light should come on for at 6 seconds, and then go off if the system is working properly. If there is a fault or a problem in the system, the light will remain illuminated, or flash continuously. If the airbag light does not work properly, some vehicles have an audible tone that sounds indicating a problem with the airbag light system. When the light is on (or the tone is sounding), the airbag will NOT deploy, even in an accident. <br /> The flashing light on your car is telling there is a problem. <br /> <br /> <b>How to reset AIRBAG SRS Light on 2003 - 2006 Infiniti G35 Coupe </b> <br /> Ignition Key Method: <br /> <ul> <li>Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car).</li> <li>After the AIR BAG warning lamp lights for 7 seconds, turn IGNITION off within 1 second.</li> <li>Wait 4 seconds.</li> <li>Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car).</li> <li>After the AIR BAG warning lamp lights for 7 seconds, turn IGNITION off within 1 second.</li> <li>Wait 4 seconds.</li> <li>Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car).</li> <li>After the AIR BAG warning lamp lights for 7 seconds, turn IGNITION off within 1 second.</li> <li>Wait 4 seconds.</li> <li>Turn IGNITION on (but don't start car).</li> <li>Wait 3 seconds.</li> <li>Turn IGNITION off.</li> <li>Wait 2 seconds.</li> <li>START Car (the light may be blinking slower than before).</li> <li>Wait 3 seconds.</li> <li>Turn IGNITION off.</li> <li>Wait 3 seconds.</li> <li>START Car.</li></ul> <br /> <b>This is a little easier</b> To reset the light simply turn the iginition to the on position, (you dont need to start it). All the lights should stay on for thier diagnostic check. As soon as the airbag light goes off, before it starts flashing, immeditatly turn the car off. Repeat this 3 or 4 times (turning to on then off) and the light should go away

Airbag fuse

It could be the fuse but is more than likely a fault with some other part of the system. You'll need to scan the system and se wha the fault codes are. When the airbag light is on it won't deploy in an accident so be sure to get it checked asap.

2001 pontiac grand am air bag module reset

Yes!!! You can replace it yourself.(Dont let others fool you into paying extra or telling you otherwise.)
-This is for pontiac grand ams 1999-2005 only.
-There are no frontal airbag impact sensors nor are there belt tensioners.
-The SRS system consists of only the (driver airbag) ,(passanger airbag),and the (airbag control module) in 1999-2005 grand ams.

If you crash/wrecked and airbags deployed you will need.
-Driver and Passanger airbags
-Airbag control module

You can buy cheap airbags from a local junkyard any year from 1999-2005 will fit.
You can also find an airbag control module for cheap at your local junk yard BUT YOU MUST FIND ONE WITH THE SAME (PART NO.) AND (SERV NO.) AS THE ONE YOUR REPLACING.The (part no.) and (serv no.) should be at top left of airbag control module. However it does (Not) have to match numbers under barcode or the numbers at the far bottom right of airbag control module.

After you get both airbags and airbag module
-Disconnect car Battery
-Replace airbags
-Replace airbag module (under passanger seat)
-Double check all connections and connect battery.

Congradulations!Your airbags should be back online.

Notes: Two torx 35 head screws hold the driver airbag, access is through two holes behind steering column.
To remove passanger airbag you have to remove glovebox it uses (7mm)screws.After you remove you will see a pair of (10mm)screws holding airbag.
To remove airbag control module First remove passanger seat 2(15mm).Then after removing you will notice a raises area kinda like a vertical bump.Take a razor blade to your carpet and cut it to explose the module underneath.
The airbag module is held by three screws depending on the year of your car it varies. Most likely 3 (10mm).

Airbag light reset sx4

There is a manufacturer's recall on this if it's caused by a failure in the front passenger weight detection system.

The system has a minimum weight required in the front passenger seat for the airbag to deploy in an accident (if no one is in the front passenger seat during an accident, the airbag does NOT deploy). If the system fails and the car cannot determine if someone is in the front passenger seat, the light illuminates and in an accident the passenger airbag WILL deploy, even if there's no one in that seat.

The purpose of the system is to prevent airbag deployment for a lightweight child in the front seat. The fix is to replace the seat weight sensor mat...free if it's the recall item.

My air bag light stays on on my 2004 sonata, this just started recently. Never have been in an accident. what or how can i turn it off. No air bags were deployed.

THE PROBLEM IS YOUR AIRBAG MODULE (computer) it is pretty expensive to fix since it needs to be replaced. Around $500 prolly more unless you know someone. Airbags won't go off randomly. But they prolly won't work when they are supposed to.

My 2005 gmc envoy airbags did not deploy on impact or even when the firefighters tried to deploy them... what the hell is this? my kids could've been in the vehicle.

If the airbag light had been on so long that it bunrt out then the light wouldnt be on to tell you they wont work. If the SRS fuse was blown or removed the airbags and the light won't work. If the car had been repaired by a less than honest repairman and the airbags were replaced with dummies that trick the light to being out.. The SRS bags are expensive and the triggers and the wiring are all supposed to be replaced if the bags were deployed in an accident. A dual bag system that has been deployed can cost $4000 to replace correctly, never mind the other work thats required to make the car safe and roadworthy. A car facts report may find the person thats responsable for the less than complete repair. If any senser or air bag doesnt complete the circuit to the controller the warning light SRS or AIRBAG orange or yellow will be on and the bags with the light on will not work. I hope everything comes out OK as to find this out you had to be in a hard accident and the fireman has been trained to protect the wreaker and rescue peaple by causing the air bags to deploy if they didn't. So the bags cant hurt them as they work to remove the busted car from the crash site

Air bag light flashing

the most common cause of the airbag light is a defective rotoating ribbon contact under the steering wheel that connects the airbag to the steering column wiring harness, the contact is called the clock-spring contact.
