Could be that your fan motor is telling you it's about to give up. First check that there are not leaves or other debris that maybe causing the noise. The fan motor is just below the windshield wiper motor assembly. The front cowl and the wiper assembly will need to be removed....tools include a philips, pick, flathead screwdriver and 10mm socket. Take some pics as you remove the front cowl's trim and the heater casing's clips. Not too difficult if you take your time. Motor is about 150 -250 on ebay.

Why does my mercedes benz 190e 2.6 1993..blow hot air when heater is not on?

This could be a couple different things. You would need to remove dash to inspect and test these however. First, your vehicle has a blend door which is what mixes hot and cool air together to adjust it to your climate control settings. Your vehicle also have vents which open/close to divert airflow to different locations. If your vehicle also has a setting for fresh/recirculated air 1 or more of these things may not be working properly. It sounds as if your getting warm air radiating inside your passenger compartment because your vents are not closed when your ac/heat is off

Where is the heater blower motor located on a 1991 mercedes benz 190e 2.3

It's in in the space behind the radio but you can only get to it by taking the entire dash apaet a big PIA job not for the faint of heart and should not be attempted without the shop manual. (don't ask how i know that!!)

1986 mecedes 190e heat and air works but comes on and goes

Could be strip fuse for blower motor, or brushes need replaced on motor, or your auto mode is working like intended and when it reaches its temp it slows down.

What transmission fluid can I use in my 1993 Mercedes Benz 190E

AF3 onepx.gif DEXRON®-III Automatic Transmission Fluid
BMW: Power steering use AF3; Models with combined power steering,
hydraulic brake booster, self-leveling suspension system use SLF
Mercedes-Benz: Use only manufacturer approved fluid

Look on the back of the bottle of fluid you are looking to buy, if it does not say is is approved by MB, don't use it.
