1994 Honda Accord 4 door. Fender removal to adjust door.

1994 Honda Accord 4 door. Replacing driver door I got from a 'you remove it' junk yard. I have the door mounted but can't get to the bolts to adjust. Door hangs low. When I took off the door at the junk yard, somebody had already removed the left front fender making it easy to get to the hinges. It looks like the best way to adjust the door is with the fender off. Probably how its done at the factory.
I tried removing the fender the other night before I mounted the door and took so many screws and bolts off without freeing the fender I thought I better rebolt and mount the door and hope I could get to the bolts good enough to adjust. I can't.

I have a shop manual but it doesn't show the fender mounting points. Anybody point me in a direction to get the fender off or loose enough I can get to the body hinge bolts?

Thanks, Wade in NW Florida

Has anyway got an answer to the above question because I may have the same problem depending on whether or not I want to pay someone to fix my problem or do it myself adjust the door sounds like its a pain in the A** so is it better to just pay someone to fix it for me. Deer ran into the side of mine.

Should have kept going-it's just screws or bolts, but some are almost hidden-like front of fender and rear along door opening. Take off fender lining and look some more.
I sort of know what you mean-can be hard to get to the door hinges. have you tried like a universal joint in your ratchet and socket?

If there is a slot in the "fender hole", it unscrews with a big screwdriver If not, check for a slide clip under fender where it goes through.

SOURCE: im replacing timing belt, accessory belts and water pump on my hyundai elantra gls 1997 sta wgn auto transmission. (1)Where is bolt to drain engine block coolant?(2)After removing front engine mountin

(1) No need to know if engine block coolant drain plug was available. Once the water pump was removed, all engine block coolant was drained. (2) After removing the three engine mounting bracket bolts, I also removed the mount bracket from the the body and made enough room to replace the timing belt easier.

SOURCE: removing the fender was wondering if hood hing

you should remove the entire hood...it'll save you the hassle of replasing it if it gets bumped when it's only attached by 1 hinge and it wrinkles, creases or outright breaks

No. The nut is held on the back of the hole by one of two ways. Either it was welded before the door was completely built, most newr models are, or a keeper plate holds it in place to allow for some slight adjustments and keep the nut from turning.

Good luck, Big Daddy

I'm replacing a 2.2 honda accord engine w/one from the junk yard and it seemsto be slightly different the one coming out hasacrankshaft position sensor and theone going in does not. can i remove t

The problem is that if the original engine has a crank shaft position sensor then the cpu will need the sensor to register where the crank is positioned for ignition timing.. You may have to drill and tap the hole so that you can fit the sensor

How hard is it to replace a door on a 1997 honda accord 4 door. Specificly the front drivers side door.

It's not too hard if you get one with the same features and interior panel. If you have to change the door panel though it's no big deal. Don't go unplugging all the little wires in the door because there is a main plug inside of a rubber boot in between your door hinges: Pop the little pin out of the little holder bar, remove the 12mm bolts that hold the door on. If you don't get help holding the door you can scratch some stuff up. You might have to remove your fender, don't know on this one.

Someone broke the front right side window to steal stereo so I will need a replacement, please advice

a little mechanical incline and some tools you can do it yourself. you have to take the door cover off and all the screw holding it in. some part of the door is held in by plastic tab, so be careful popping those apart. Go to a junk yard and pick up another windows it will be hard and difficult to put a new window in. removing one from a junk yard will show and teach you how the place together and will give you some practice when you replacing yours. if you don't want to deal with, any small garage can put one in for 45-50 bucks, you just buy the part.

Side mirror replacement

go to a junk yard as it'll be a lot cheaper there... Yes, technically you can just replace the backing and mirror. The backing is connected to the housing via two rods and some clips. The rods are (secured to the backing and these adjust the pitch of the mirror). If these rods become separated, then it may be tricky to adjust the mirror. Then again, adjust it once and it should stay
