How do i reset the oil change light?

WHERE IS THE OIL PUMP? AND HOW DO YOU CHANGE IT? 2005 Chevrolet Impala

I HAVE TO CHANGE THE INNER RINGS.

The oil pump is in the oil pan it is used to pump oil that is in the pan, around 4qts up and through the parts of the engine, are you looking for the oil filter?

Turn key on ,,,hit brake pedal 3 times with in 5 seconds,,, thats how you do it on chevy trucks,, so maybe it will work for you

It should be in your owners manual. On most models you either depress the gas pedal three times or go into the settings thru the radio controls to reset the oil change reminder.
Let me know if you need me to cut and paste the directions.

There should be a reset button in the fuse pannel. It can be used to reset the low tire pressure light , and the change oil light.
Instructions should be in owners manual , or you can google it.
Chevy dealership should do it for free in my opinion.

YOU HAVE TO RESET OIL LIGHT.ITS DISPLAYED ON THE DRIVER SIDE INFORMATION CENTER.IT A CHECK MARK LOOKING SYMBOL..YOU PRESS HOLD RESET BUTTON FOR 5 SECONDS.

With the key on and the engine off push the gas pedal all the way to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds and wait about 10 seconds and turn the key off for about 10 seconds and turn it back on.The oil life should be set.

you should take the positive battery cable off for a full minute that should reset your computer in your vehicle it will also reset your radio or clock

There are codes to reset it after the oil has been changed. My car is an 2001 and i have to pump the gas pedal 4 times to reset it when the car is off. Look in the manual it should say in there.

You should be able to reset the oil life light.
TRY this...
put the key in and turn to the accessory point,do not start the car.
Once you get to "acc" on the ignition press down 3 times on the gas pedal but NOT fast,sort of slowly.
Turn it off then start the car,it should reset and the light goes off if not..repeat it.
Always works for me.
I hate the reminder set up,stupid if ya ask me,i know when to change oil etc.

TURN IGNITION KEY TO ON POSITION THEN BACK TO OFF 3 TIMES 3RD TIME LEAVE IT IN ON POSITON THEN DEPRESS GAS PETAL TO FLOOR 3 TIMES. TURN KEY OFF SHOULD BE RESET



On my 2005 impala you turn the ignition on and turn the radio off. Push down the tune nob until settings is displayed on the radio. Push the seek button until you see oil life. Push the next button on the radio until you see the word reset then push the tune nob again. this will reset the oil timer on the car and change oil light should turn off.
