Range Rover p38 we have just fitted a new battery and now the heater wont come on or light up, nor does the cigarette lighter or the stereo

should not fit 95/98 range rover is p38 model after this a new model was introduced that is noticeably different , could be wrong though!

when you lock it up does the alarm activate you say this problem only started after changing battery sounds like its the mobiliser lock and open car from inside with key in ignition hope this helps

range rover sports 2005-2009 cigarette lighter is number 55 on fuse box and is a 15amp,the car takes bussman fuses(ie) small fuses

clean your battery terminals or replace the cables. your losing your connection somewhere.

Hi Adam,

Bring your vehicle to an auto parts or battery store. Ask if they could perform a 'Load Check' on your battery. This not only checks the voltage, but also the amps, as if it were under the load of turning your engine.

It takes a few seconds and the results are pass or fail. Fail means it's time for a new battery. Pass means we need to look elsewhere.
