Oil pressure is mechanically controlled by a valve inside oil pump. if it is not leaking it is ok to drive to have it replaced. mainly used as input to computer and for your gauge

Where is the oil pressure sensor located on a 2014 Dodge Charger SE

Kelli, on 2.7 motor it is by oil filter above steering rack, in the eng. block, I think some may behind alternator and bracket also.
If these location do not seem to be right, do a online search with your info. and engine size.

Where is oil sending unit located?

You're vehicle has two sensors for the oil,an oil pressure sensor switch & oil pressure sensor. If oil pressure gets below 6psi,the oil pressure sensor switch will turn a dash light on to let you know the pressure is at a dangerously low amount. So if you've got a dash light on,the pressure sensor switch needs to be replaced. Its located to the right of the oil filter housing,on a 2.0 liter. Its located to the left of the oil filter housing,on the 3.0 liter.
If your oil pressure gauge is reading inaccurately, you need to replace the oil pressure sensor instead. Its located near the ac compressor.

Where is the oil pressure sensor located and must I drain the oil to replace it? Thank you!

The sensor should be located near the oil filter. I did not have to drain oil to replace. If car has that many miles on it yes pump could be bad.

Oil pressure light 2007 Montana

Assuming you have enough oil (there is a separate low oil sensor) and you have replaced the filter (can go bad) a lot of times the oil pressure sensor is the problem, especially if it is intermittent and your engine is still sounding smooth.
The sensor located right above the oil filter - you need to access from under the vehicle after removing the starter motor (disconnect battery first). You will need a 27mm (1-1/16") deep socket to be able to unscrew the old and screw in the new sensor - do not tighten very much - 15 ft lbs I think.
The sensor is CA$38 at the dealership.

Im trying to find out on my 1998 ford contour svt 2.5 .where is the 02 sensors located.im actually looking for the downstream 02 sensor which i think its the bank 1 sensor 2.i see 2 from underneath

It's in the center, rear engine area, mounted in the exhaust manifold. Kind of a pain to get at, but doable. It's easier if you take the oil filter off.

Have just changed oil filter, now oil light is on and car wont turn over?

You only changed the filter? Is the starter located near the filter, is it possible you may have bumped the wires or shorted it by getting oil on it, if so test the starter to make sure it is functioning properly

My car hesitates and slowsdown while driving

The fuel filter is in the gas tank with the fuel pump - it's actually a 'SOCK' that filters fuel before it enters the pump. Odds are it's not the filter. Odds are you have a Throttle Position Sensor which is going bad (bad spots in the potentiometer). Erratic resistance changes sending BAD signals to the Engine Control Module and Transmission Control Module ECU & TCM. A good technician knows how to check it with an analog ohm meter.

Oil sensor

Depends on the model...I believe your engine is losing oil pressure. You may have a crack in your oil pan or bad oil pump. Oil Pressue sensors or usually located somewhere near on on the oil filter mounting.
