I just bought a 1979 cj5 jeep. Only thing wrong with it is the wiring. Looks like someone just started unplugging stuff. Blinkers, gauges, brake lights and wipers don't work. Questions is... how do I know which wire plug back where?
The smartest way is to use a wiring diagram. Go to faxonautoliterature and they can fix you up with the original Jeep service manual which will have the diagrams you need, among other things. I have used them before and found their service to be excellent. Hope this helps.
You can go to autozone.com and register for full free online repair manual. It will have wiring diagrams, other diagrams, diagnostics, and much much more. You can find your wiring diagram here. I feel it will help you best.
