If it is the factory alarm then it cannot be bypassed.you can ie send the ecu back to a company here in the uk to have the immobiliser bypassed or you can have two new fobs reprogrammed from your old fob, email me [email protected] and i will pass company details on.

1998 Land Rover Discovery 1 will not start nothing works.

Check all fuses and fuseable links, which are those box style fuses with clear tops. When a fuse able link blows, the truck won't start ive run in to this on a couple of DIIs in the past.

Alarm set

this is a factory alarm, the problem is the alarm is active, you will need to use the door locks to turn alarm off, insert key in driversdoor and lock and then unlock door this will turn alarm off, if that doesnt work then use pass/side door, the lock has a built in switch that knows when the door is locked or opened, the driversdoor may have a bad switch so inturn the computer thinks the door was forced opened without key and it is turning alarm on, so again use the key to unlock door try the pass/side if driversdoor doesnt work. good day

I started my car on day and the next day I unlocked the door and the alarm started and would not stop. My buddy diconnected the horn and the car won't start...help

i believe if you put key in ignition turn it forward and back off twice it should reset the anti theft to start it. or unlock pass door with key and that might reset it. also try the same with back pass door if the other didnt work. hope this helps.

Key fob would not open 1995 discovery ,used key in door then alarm went off ,after a few seconds alarm ceased then put key in to start engine and got nothing now cant lock doors with key but red light is...

The red light means the Immobiliser has not been turned off, the deactivator in the key must not be working correctly, visit your local land rover dealer who will be able to make sure the key is paired to the car correctly, otherwise you may need a new key.

Alarm and imobiliser on a discovery 300tdi

before you cut or rewire the alarm, when welding the disco although disconecting the battery protects the battery, the imobiliser holds current, this my have gone into system factory setting, so it my be worth getting the imob and key re-conected, this is a cheap job at any Landrover specialist. hope your running smooth soon
