On a 2008 Lexus LS350 the oil light was not reset after an oil change. It does not have a key. I tried using the "hold tripodometer and pressing he start button with my foot off the brake" - no good!

Reset oil change for a 2008 dodge aveneger

To reset your maintenance reminder system (even if the light hasn’t come on yet), you’ll need to turn your key to on (but don’t start!) and make sure your odometer is on TRIP A. Then key off. Press and hold the Odometer/Trip button. While holding down on the button, key the ignition to on (Don’t start the engine!) The display panel will count down from “------“ to “-“Continue pressing the button until the Trip A is displayed. After this step, you are done.

2008 toyota corolla main light on how do i reset it did an oil ch

Here's how you reset your oil maintenance light.

To reset the light,
Turn the ignition on
Make sure the odometer displays "ODO"
1.Turn the key off
2.Press and hold down the same button you use to get to "ODO"
3.Turn the key back to ON ( while still holding down the button)
4.Hold the button in until all the flashing lines on the odometer go away and the bunch of "000000" shows up and the maint reset light will turn off.
Your'e done.

If this doesn't work, you would have to try it on "trip A" instead of "ODO".

How do I reset the oil change light in a 2008 Chevy Suburban

Try this: turn the key to the RUN position (don't start it), press the accelerator to the floor 3 times within 5 seconds. The oil life light should flash twice, indicating that it's been reset.

If you have steering wheel controls, you can navigate to where it says Oil Life and then hold the arrow down, that should also reset the oil life.
