Dear Wet And Missing.........The answer to your question is yes. Many a times when that time comes to clean an engine off this exact same problem arrises. It is normally a misfire concern that is caused by......YOU GUESSED IT!!!!! WATER!! If you haven't already done so let the car naturally dry by itself....normally a good afternoon will be adequate enough for the drying process to take place. When you go to start the vehicle up again the engine light will normally still be on......as this is now a stored code in the computer. If the vehicle is running fine and not missing anymore you are more than likely sittin pretty......you can now simply and easily erase the code in your computer if it is still on...simply remove your negative battery cable lead and leave it off for about thirty seconds.Reinstall the lead...and you're good to go. Please keep in mind if you have a factory radio to make sure that you do have the unlock code for the radio before you disconnect the battery.....this will let you turn the radio back on so you can enjoy your music while cruisin down the road without any misfires!!!! Happy motoring!!!! I HOPE I HELPED!!!! any questions get back to me...THX!!!
