I recently replaced the brake pads on my honda accord, now they are begining to squeek a little bit. Any clues?
Since you do not mention what kind of pads you used,after-market or dealer ones. I am assuming that you used after-market ones and that normally are hard ceramics --those pads plus if you did not have the rotors machined will squeek on you.Its the heat that glazes the rotors and pads.
Normally the dealer pads work pretty good as long as you do not have warped rotors.
Dear friend-what im about to tell you now will not be approved by my fellow experts but believe me it works.remove the disc pads and get your hands on some copper compound.put a thin layer of compound on the surface of the pad rub it in and then wipe light with a cloth, you can also put some of the compound on the back of the pad between the pad and the place,re-assemble and your squeek should be gone.
