95 2.5 jeep wrangler stalls consistantly and will restart after 20-30 minutes. i've replaced fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator, cleaned cam and crankcase position sensors, checked fuel line and return for leaks and ihstalled new vacuum lines between canister and regulator and between throttle body and map sensor. fuel pressure goes to 39 on start and immediately bleeds to zero which indicates bad diaphram. fuel pressure is 64psi when running which indicates bad fuel regulator(which is why i relpaced it). relay replaced, and check engine codes battery disconnect from pcm. check engine light comes on when car starts so computer is good. can't understand why fuel pressure is haywire. HELP

problem solved, i hope. couldn't figure out the high fuel pressure so i tried dto blow out the return line. it was blocked. traced blockage back to tank. dropped tank a couple inches and the line cleared. jeep started , fuel pressure right on the money; with and without vacuum. trial drive A-OK. so far so good. thanks to all for your input it narrowed down the problen and i got lucky. thanks again

jeep still stalls. rats. it must be the fuel pump. could anything else make the fuel pressure bleed off. on the off/on test fuel pressure jumps to 39 psi, then immediately goes to zero. when started jeep holds 39 psi. until turned off-0 psi. has to be check valve(diaphram) on fuel pump---doesn't it?

Sensor problem ? put lots of fuel in intake jeep stalls unplug injectors to restart

You either have a injector leaking,or the fuel pressure regulator is bad,and allowing too much fuel.

My 95 jeep wrangler sputters when I accelerate. I just changed my fuel filter and still runs the same.

For starters, fit a new set of spark plugs and test the HT plug and coild lead for high resistance. If you have the fuel injected engine, test the fuel pressure in the fuel rail and if this is ok, have the injectors cleaned and calibrated. If still aproblem, remove the negative battery terminal, wait a minute or so and re-fit it. This will re-set the engine management computer back to factory defaults. These things should do it.

1993 jeep wrangler 4.0. Jeep stalls when accelerator is slightly engaged. sometimes hard to start after this. sometimes starts right up. already replaced crank position sensor. What else could be wrong?...

The fuel pressure you listed is to low,
The regulator should keep the pressure down to at least 45psi,removing the vacuum from the regulator it should spike to at least 55-60.
Did it start and run better with the hose off?
replace the fuel filter first, then check the pressure again.

2004 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon stalling out

I've had this problem on vehicles with 70k or more miles on them. Symptoms include rough or uneven idle and dying. OBDII showes no codes.

Bad fuel, vacuum leak, low fuel pressure, carbon build up, inoperable fuel tank ventilation, poor grounding, low voltage, intermittent relay contacts are possibilities.

The simplest and mostly likely problem is:
Carbon build up inside the butterfly. With the engine off, pull the intake off. Use injector cleaner and a shop rag to clean the intake throat where the butterfly is. Use a plastic or wood handle to hold the butterfly open to get both sides cleaned. If this doesn't clear the problem, check for vacuum leaks, loose hoses etc.

Check fuel pressure and replace the fuel filter if it's low.

1993 JEEP WRANGLER FUEL PROBLEM

Umm i cant imagine what too much gas sounds like, but have you checked your fuel pressure regulator, and their respective Vacuum Hoses.
If that doesnt settle anything, check your ground. located adjacent to your battery, as well as your engine usually on the rear portion of the valve body is where you'll find it.

Thirdly, clean and inspect your cam position sensor. Sorry im posting several months later, but i see you never got your responses. Hope ya get this one.
