I have a 99 ford windstar and the side back window on the drivers side is a pop out kind of window and where the arm attaches to the window it came loose. I know that it attaches with a screw on the arm and a rubber piece on the outside of the window. I lost the rubber piece. Could someone tell me the name of the piece that I am looking for so that I can order one. Thanks

SOURCE: 99 Ford Windstar Back door replacement

If I recall the wiring plugs in at the top you may be able to pull the plug with out droping the back of the headliner, But I am not sure, if not pull the two clips in the rear and one uper side panel for access. You will need someone to help yu remove the door. After you get the wiring loose at the roof and the washer hose, remove one nut/bolt out of each hinge at the door frame, and loosen the other two, remove the gas lift shocks by using a small screw driver to pry the clip back on the end that attaches to the door while some holds the door up, then remove the last two bolt/nuts in the door hinges, and remove the door. If you need to use parts on the old door like the lock cylinder yoou will need to remove the inner plastic panel to gain access to the clip that holds the cylinder. Replace in reverse order and adjust to fit properly before tightning the bolts at the hinges, then snap lift shocks back on and replug harness at roof and washer hose. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: 98 ford windstar. power windows, windshield wipers, willnot work,.

This sound like some type of relay switch failure in the fuse box, you need check all the fuses and see if they're all intact and make sure none of them are burned out. If all these are not working you have a live wire some where in you wire harness

SOURCE: The front driver side door's outside handle on my

On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Pull back the weather seal and you'll be able to get to everything. Either the bolts holding the outer handle on has broken or fallen out, or the handle anchor (plastic) has broken

SOURCE: i need the rubber attachment

These are pretty universal and you should be able to get then at any spares shop, but the quality is not the same as the original equipment, so it might pay you to go to the agents.

How to replace a front windshield wiper motor?

You need to pop your hood up, remove your windshield wiper arms but make sure you mark the position of the arms marking on the arm and arm attachment for re-installation alignment, Remove rubber seal and plastic screws (Phillips head), remove windshield wiper water line from left side, then carefully remove plastic cowl. Under neath will be your wiper arms and motor. You can remove all 8 mm bolts and then remove whole plastic cowl and deatach the wiper motor. Installation is in reverse order of removal.

Drivers side windshield wiper won't move on my

Hello, There is a clip on the wiper motor which keeps the wiper rods on the motor. There is also an attachment for the other end of this rod on the backside of the wiper arm.

You need to grab the broken drivers wiper to see if the wiper rod is still attached to the wiper fixture just beneath the sheet metal where it is vented. You should be able to see the arms or rods through these slots in the sheet metal. This sheet metal is called a Cowling.

If the arm or rod moves on the drivers side when you shake the drivers wiper blade assembly, then the arm is attached underneath the Cowling and the small clip probably fell off of the other end of the arm/rod. It can be as simple as removing the wiper motor and replacing the clip.

You can not count on finding the original part. You would need to try an Autoparts store or the Dealer for the part.

If you do not want to fool with this yourself, you can go to a specialty Autoglass installer who should be able to service this and may have the part in stock. Some Autoglass shops even make Housecalls to a residence or business.

I always suggest that if you want to fix it yourself, some Auto Salvage yards let you pull the parts yourself. This is a great learning experience as you have an opportunity to break someone elses vehicle instead of your own. Then you can remove what you need and see how to do it.

I hope my solution is helpful to you.

Driver side electrical window

the windows are controlled through a central electronic module called a GEM (Generic electronic module), there is no seperate fuse for the window, if only one window works then either the window switch is defective or the window motor is defective, the motor is the most common problem.
