1997 Suburban. Turned on headlights and truck completely died

1997 Suburban. I was moving the truck and the instant I turned on the headlights the truck completly died and nothing electrical now works. I checked the battery and it looks good, checked obvious fuses, and even tried jumping it from another truck. Nothing has worked. I assume there must be a main fuse or relay that has failed.

How to find an electrical disturbance in 1998 ford expedition

Normally this condition is the result of a poor body ground connection. Testing for this can be deceiving. At the static(nothing on) condition, testing can show a good ground. However when a circuit is excited, it has a determined resistance and a set current flow. If the ground connection to this or a branch circuit is loose, corroded, or broken wire. This will allow just enough connection to show as being good, but not good enough to complete the circuit with the required amount of connection when energized.

1993 Suburban dies when you turn on headlights

In most 1993 Chevy Subrubans the headlights do not have an automatic option. It is possible to get this feature installed but factor settings do not have this option installed.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

87 gmc sub runs for a while then dies

I had a 99 Suburban that did almost the same thing, it turned out to be the Catyletic Converters were plugged. Try taking the exhaust pipe loose at the manifold for test purposes. If it runs good with the pipes loose, that's the problem. Replace the Cat's. There were no codes for either, it would start and run nice for about 5 seconds, then run rough and then stall.

1997 chevy suburban head lights won't turn on but running and dash lights do work

first thing to check is the headlight relay under the hood. the easiest way to check is to swap it with a non-essential relay of the same type, like the horn or a/c. if the headlights still don't work check for proper power and ground in the relay socket.
