2000 Land Rover Discovery II. Wiper blades get stuck at the end of wiping and do not retract. I am thinking that it could be a switch problem, how can i get acess to the switch?
You meant the wiper do not park? That is a problem with the motor assembly, which is responsible for parking the wipers. The switch just turns it on, and off.
You would need to remove the wiper blades. Then remove the plastic covering by the bottom of the windshield. then you will see the wiper mechanism. Remove the whole mechanism which is attached by few bolts, usually 2 or three of them. Now that it is taken off the car removing the motor assembly is easy. If you want to save money, the junkyard is the best place to buy them. A dealer may cost over a hundred bucks. I just replace one on a 2006 chevy trailblazer, and it costed 175 bucks from a dealer.
