Hello,
I recently bought a 1986 Chevrolet Camaro 5.0L with a 4bbl Q-Jet. Recently with the change of temperature in New York I have been having hard times in the morning keep this pig running. I pump the gas then start it. It starts and runs like I am having a multiple random misfire. Once the car stalls from this it is remarkably hard to start it back. I usually need to use a booster pack while trying to start it again cause the car just cranks for a few minutes before it starts up again.Once its back on i have to hold down the accelerator for another minute to warm it up.Once its warmed up runs fine and starts fine. I also noticed the smell of excess fuel coming out my tailpipes. I just did my distributor and a full tune up about a month ago and it ran like new. Would this be a carburator starting to go bad?
