Key won't open locked doors. Can't get into car. I just have a standard key. I'm sure the key is not the problem. My car is a 1990 lexus 400ls
Antitheft was turned off and only way in is turning the switch on which is on the left hand side closest to the steering wheel. You will then probably have the issue of the car not wanting to start. You then at that point have to turn the ignition in the lock position and remove the key. Make sure all doors including hood and trunk are closed and in the lock position. Wait thirty seconds until security light begins to blink and then put your key in the driver door and unlock the vehicle. ( I have to hangout my window to do this) then you will be able to start the car. To determine if you are going to be able to start the car is I always look for what looks like to me as a bird cage on the dash next to the word anti theft. It will only appear if you are not going to be able to start the car
My Solution Im A Locksmith If It Is In Atlanta Call
Tucson Car Locksmith,If Is Nat EmergencyCall A Dealer
Does it not unlock any of the doors? if it doesnt unlock any doors run down to the dealer and give them your vin number they will be able to cut you a key based on that. make sure you take your registration to prove you own the car. fortunately your car is the first gen ls400 because if it was much newer it would have had to had a key programmed to start it. keys at the dealer shouldnt be too much but if they are too expensive, just snag a blank off ebay they are only about 10 bucks. good luck!
