Rear seat wont fold down in pacifica 06

1. You either have a section of rear seat that folds down or you don't. Most cars do and those vehicles will have a manual tab just behind the seat that is connected to a cable that will release the trunk lock unless the lock is broken. So check the top of your rear seat sections for release buttons that enable a section of seat to be folded down. Then look just inside the opening for the manual cable release.

2. If you have a car with no section of rear seat that can be folded down, you will have to unbolt the rear seat to get access to the trunk. You need to remove the bottom section of the seat first. This will just pull up from the front and you can remove it from the car. Then you should be able to access the bolts that hold the upright section of seat in place.

sounds like a cable has broke in the back of the seat or a a metal rod had come adrift or broke ,ask a local mechanic to have a look for you .

slide back the whole seat then pull the loop by the head rest to fold it down then use the handle on the side towards top of the back rest to fold hope this helps

One of the cables that control the release is broken right where it hooks to the seat,, the cable has a loop made in from factory it wears threw there,,, this is just one of the causes but the most common,,, also could be bottle cap or small piece of something making it hang up,, hope this helps

Fold the top of the back seat down. My 1990 civic lx has a place to put your key at the top to release the seat. Remove the trunk carpet from the seat back by pulling out the plastic screws. Remove 2 bolts (10 mm) on each side holding the seat on a bracket. The top part of the seat should now slide out. Once you get the top part of the seat out, a bolt should be exposed just to the right of the center of the seat bottom attaching it to the floor. Unscrew the bolt. Now tip the seat bottom up and forward. There are two hooks to the front of the seat bottom. You will have to move the seat back and forth a few times to unhook them and then pull the hooks out of the slots on the floor.

1. Fold down both rear seat cushions.

1. Remove the rear seat back.
   1. Push the wire hooks rearward to disengage the seat backrest from the back panel of the cab.
   1. Lift the rear seat back upward and remove.

Installation

1. Align the upper hooks with the upper brackets on the back panel of the cab.

1. NOTE: Make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted.
   Route the rear center safety belt through the retainer ******** the rear seat back.

1. Place the lower hooks behind the lower brackets on the back panel of the cab.

1. Lower the seat back until the lower hooks engage the lower brackets.

1. Verify all three upper hooks have engaged the upper brackets

The rear seat backs do not fold down in these trucks, the seat bottom lifts up to gain access to the compartments below but the seat back does not fold down. The only thing you can do is physically remove the rear seats.

try at the top they made them with a lever or flap

You should be able to fold the seat down. Often, when they have not moved for an extended period of time, the latch will stick. Try leaning against the seat, while pulling the latch. Often this will release enough pressure to allow you to pull it free.
