Powersteering making squeeling sound we have put

Powersteering making squeeling sound we have put 3 pumps in it plus had a new rack and pinion put in it. It still squeeks, runs fine when going down road but when you turn off the motor it shoots all the powersteering fluid out and blows the lid off the powersteering pump. I have to refill it each time car is turned off. Several people have checked it and no answers hoses are not stopped up to pump. If we are sitting still turning the wheel either direction it squeeks. any suggestions?
any help would be greatly appreciated

How do u change rack and pinion 2004 trailblazer

Put the vehicle on jack stands first. Then you pull the tie rod ends loose from the spindles on each side. There is 2 bolts that hold the rack and pinion to the subframe that you remove and it'll drop far enough that you can undo the powersteering lines and pull it out.

I have a honda accord 1993. I had a leaking power steering pressure line and a bad rack and pinion that I just replaced, but now I have a howling sound when i'm driving the vehicle. it makes the sound...

Is the fluid low?

Did you replace it with an aftermarket pump?

Aftermarket pumps are notorious for making noise. Your nest bet is to get a good used part or get one from the dealer.

If there is a lot of foam in the fluid it will cause the same noise also. You can add an ounce of seafoam motor tune (available at any good parts store) to the power steering fluid. This will help reduce the faoming fluid.

The last thing I can think of is did you use Honda powersteering fluid? If not your going to want to flush the powersteering system ASAP so you don't ruin the parts you just replaced.

Need to replace powersteering pump can it be done in the driveway or do I need a mechanic

it requires special tools, u may be able to borrow them from Kragen, the tool is called a power steering pulley remover/installed, u should also have special line wrenches or u will damage the fittings of the high pressure line, except for that the pump is fairly easy, but the pulley must be removed to access the bolts that hold the pump to the block brackets.

Powersteering always leaking.checked the hoses and the pump looked fine to us. its seem to spray at the end of its turns. but no can spot the leak

ok. if the hoses and pump seems dry and it sprays near the end of the travel, then i'd hate to say it, but i would be checking the steering gear or the rack and pinion. Probably a bad boot or loose clamp. But that sure sounds like a faulty hose problem. Over time they do wear out and will cause leaks like that. If fluid is going down, and nothing is leaking externally, then i would suspect the rack and pinion s faulty. Good luck!

check the fluid level, If this does not fix it you will need a new pump or rack and pinion

The powersteering in my 2006 Escape does not operate correctly.

you could have a hose that has a kink in it.or maybe trash in the line from filling the tank.take the hoses off and check to see if there is a blockage.this may help.

Steering

sound like your powersteering pump or steering rack and pinion
could be bad.i would say it is your rack and pinion because if your pump was bad your steering would be real hard to turn instead of being jerky.jerking is usally the sign of a bad rack
