Yes you need it,it controls lighting and such. What you were told, and what is tested, and diagnosed,is another thing,so ,do this,Unplug the alternator plug in on the alternator, and see if it goes down during the night,if it does not, replace the alternator. The regulator in the alternator could be open.Or a diode in the alternator could be blown.Have the alternator checked on the vehicle at the battery also, the auto parts store will do this for free.

Well a fuse is just a safe guard, it does not draw a charge. You have a parasitic load. Something is either plugged in like a GPS, MP3 player or (may sound silly but have seen it) the glove box light is not going out. Look for something like these. OR, you have a bad connection somewhere that is cause a small draw and draining your battery.

Where is the TCM fuse on my 2000 Chevy Blazer four wheel drive 4.3

owners manual below, fuse start page 353
I see several fuses which have something to do with transmission or shifting. I see nothing saying TCM but I would check every fuse which might have something to do with transmission control module and 4wd.

My chevy blazer wont start after having the security light on for a few days

If you left the security light on it probably killed your battery. You will need to jump start your vehicle or charge your battery as well as turn off your security light.

2000 Chevy Blazer Won't Start

You can check the manual that came with the Remote starter.
If you do not have one try look it up on line.
You can try call the people that install that kind of remote starter.
Some started do a lot more than start your car and the only way to know is to look at the manual.
You are trying to find out if it is has a ignition kill command.

Wont run

Try checking those sparks again. It could be a weak spark not enough to start your engine.
Make sure also that you have fresh gasoline, as gasoline or diesel looses it's effectiveness after a long time.
