I think the problem is in your dimmer switch. It controls the dash backlights as well as the display on the radio. Is this a factory radio and are you dash backlights bright?
Im not familiar with the Sentra radio, but on two car radios that I have, there is a display button that switches between frequency and clock when the radio is on. If you push this button with the radio off the light goes out. Hope this helps.
did you replace it with new one, or used one?? also have you replaced your air filter and used NISSAN only air filter. something tells me that you had non nissan/aftermarket air filter installed and that is why your air flow meter failed. you need to use nissan air filter ONLY in your model nissan. sentras do not like non nissan air filter, because non nissan filters are not coated in small amount of oil and let foreign particals / dirt go pass the filter and that will fry your $500 air flow meter.
the reason most mechanics won't fix this problem is that it is easier and less labor intensive to just buy and install a new stereo. the back lighting LEDs are circuit board mounted and are very small. you would need to remove this deck and take it to a shop that fixes computers, stereos. mechanics are not set up to handle this kind of repairs.
only some one who bought one can answer that but its not going to be the same price were your going to buy start with how much a new one cost call parts department at nissan dealership then see if auto parts stores got it cheaper , when it comes to springs not realy a good idea to buy used .if you go on line you will get bumbarded if you go to a site that you put in your e-mail just to look
same this happned to me in my 2006 sentra. the volume for the radio is gone. i can tune, its just barely audible/ quiet. weirdly though it sounds perfect when playing CDs. i almost thought maybe it got switched in to mute mode or something. did you figure out your problem?
radio bulbs are internal inside of the radio. you need to take out the radio and have some audio place doit for you, unless you are inclined enough to take it apart your self. good luck.
