First of all you should access the Airbag ECU (Electronic Control Module) using suitable diagnostic equipment (VAS, VAG-COM) connected to the data link connector of the car in order to erase all faults - DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Code) memored, unlock and reset the Airbag ECU. Then the Airbag light will turn OFF after approx. 4 seconds, ignition ON. Good Luck!
the eml light can only be reset at a garage with either an audi supplied diagnostic tester(5051,5052b)or a garage that has VAG com.(a diagnostic software)the latter is usually the cheapest,some audi independent garages have VAG com.
