I have a 1995 xj6 jaguar. When I start the car the oil gage needle usually goes to the middle . Lately, it may take a couple minutes for the oil needle to get to the middle and then the oil light goes off. As I drive it goes back and forth sometimes? I'm past my oil change but have had my oil topped off and there is not a lack of oil. What may be the issue?

Make sure you are using the right oil weight and grade....20w50 is what will keep the oil pressure reading in a normal range. Thinner weights start ok and when hot and dirty, read very low even if oil level is right.

The oil filter may be clogged or the oil is worn out. If it is old it will thin out and take longer to build up pressure.

How do i disarm factory alarm in my 1995 jaguar xj6

I think you have put a power spike through the electrics. Try disconnecting the battery give it a minute and reconnect. The alarm runs through the body processor you can't disconnect it.

MY GAS GAGE ON MY XJ6 95 JAGUAR IS ALWAYS ON EMPTY, I CAN NEVER NHOW HOW MUCH GAS I HAVE, PLEASE HELP ME FIGURE IT OUT.

Either it is a bad gauge, or more than likely the sensor in you tank is faulty. If you take it to a shop they can hook to it and let you know.

Does check engine light or wrench light come on? If yes, get free computer scan from Autozone or other parts store that offers free scan. Sounds like a sensor is failing

1995 Jaguar XJ6 oil pressure gauge

This is OK. Oil pressure is always higher when the engine is cold.

As an engine accumulates miles the pressure will start to drop due to bearing clearances increasing.

If this just started to happen you may want to replace the oil filter and or oil pressure sending unit.

if thats not ityou might need to get the oil preasure lubricating pump checked, and id suggest you do it fast or theres a lot of engine wear and tear.

The gas gage on my 1985 jaguar xj6 is working and

It sounds like a change over valve is faulty. U have 2 check over valves 1 on each side of rear wheel wells. Also a change over valve that switches 1 tank to other. I recomend replacing all 3 valves for peace of mind, because when 1 goes the others follow. Hope this is helpful!
