Before it would stay on for a day or two. Now it hasn't gone off.

At first the sputter would only happen when I started to accelerate. Now it is when I start to accelerate and when i am going 50-55 mph.

YOU NEED TO HAVE THE DEALER TEST THE SYSTEM FOR TROUBLE CODES, U HAVE A FAILED ENGINE CYLINDER, MOST LIKEY AN IGNTION PROBLEM.

the same thing happen to mine twice,and both times it was the coils ,You have 8 total ,one over each spark plug.I replaced them and no more problems.Check with the auto parts so they can tell you which one is bad,hope this helps...

Inhave a 1999 ford expedition it cranks like a dream but when put in gear it sputters and dies recranks great the sputters and dies in gear

You have a transmission problem. Tcc(torque converter clutch) solenoid stuck. Basically when you put it in drive, it is starting out in overdrive. Causing the engine to die.

This sounds like a vacuum problem. Check your vacuum hoses and connections as they relate to the HVAC system. There is a good chance that you have a cracked, broken, or disconnected hose, or a hose that collapses.
