Can i fit a turbo skyline engine (rb30) in a nissan sentra 1987

The engine temperature is normal?
If any warning lights have appeared on your dashboard, this may point towards a faulty sensor such as throttle position sensor, Oxygen sensor ..

If you have no warning lights it sounds like a classic case of a faulty/failing fuel pump.


Nissan Sentra Fuel Pumps

The pump fits into the fuel tank.
A quick check you can do is to disconnect the fuel line somewhere in the engine bay and turn the ignition on. Fuel should literally spray out.

Before buying and fitting a new fuel pump get somebody - a workshop - to do a pressure check on it/ confirm that it is the fuel pump.

A faulty/failing fuel pump can work intermittently. One minute it's fine, the next minute it stops working.

pretty sure it runs via lower hose, as gravity keeps it in the bottom of rsd.

You can but you have to make custom mounts for your car. the RB30 is a huge engine. You'd need to squeeze it in. This would require alot of patience and skills. Good luck with your engine swap.

xmarquez: I do not think so. The two vehicles are configures differently if I am not mistaken. The Skyline's are Rear wheel drive vehicles and the engine is an in line configuration.
Your car is a front wheel drive where the engine is transversely mounted and it's a V-6.
I would also love to have a Skyline turbo. They are AWESOME!

when saying crash bar do you mean roll bar? or the front bumper support?

if roll bar, i believe it will fit with minor adjustments on the floorboard.

if the bumper support. i dont think so. the r34 has a slightly more square design on the front end and would not make for a good switch.

in theory if you can weld you can get anything to fit. good luck hope they put a skyline section up for ya...ya lucky bastard. youve got my dream car. have a nice day

buy yourself a couple bottles of gas line antifreeze and add them to the gas tank for the misfire when it is cold. and locate all the relays you can find that control the issues you are having and replace them. don't forget the fuse/relay panel under the hood near the battery.
