Possibility #1: This sounds a lot like vapor lock...try starting it without the gas cap in place. Usually your tank is vented to prevent this from happening, but they can varnish and plug up. If this helps, put some good fuel cleaner in your tank and let it run for awhile until it cleans out all the varnish. Possibility #2: It could also be a plugged fuel filter, the sediment settles out of the way when the car isn't running, but as soon as you start it, the fuel pressure kicks it up and completely covers the fuel filter and chokes out all fuel from going through until it settles back down. Hope this helps, good luck!

One of 2 items are probable. have the ignition module tested. also check the crank position sensor.check for spark and injector pulse when it dies.

If the engine uses an integrated electronic pick-up coil in the distributor, it is probably bad. Lots of times the coil will be open-circuit when hot and then when it cools down it will make the connection again. You can also try getting a can of freeze spray from an electronics parts store (like RadioShack or similar) and when it quits, try taking the distributor cap off and spraying down the internal parts of the distributor and reassemble and test.

Buick Regal problem-help!!!!!!!!

Have you done the basic maintenance. Spark plugs, oil change, ect.? As for the fans, if you have a/c one of them should only come on when your a/c is on. The other is regulated by a relay so when your car reaches a certain temp it kicks on.

1991 buick regal starting and running problem

Sounds like your car is overheating. If you have a temp gauge it should show that. If you just have an idiot light, by the time it comes on it's already too hot to operate. AFTER the car is cooled down, open the radiator cap to see how much coolant has been lost. Chances are there is alot missing. Add WATER (no sense in adding coolant if it's going to leak out) and idle the car at home. Look underneath as it warms up to find where the leak is.
