No!!!! its difficult, but possible... the headlights have a rubber cover over the wiring harness. pull it off, un plug the harness, and there is a metal wire bracket, hard to explain, if you check out the driver side first (easier to access) the other side should be a breeze. hope this helps

I need to change the brake and tail light on my 1996 toyota corolla . I would need a manuel on that please.

The steps to replace the brake light bulb on a 1996 Toyota Corolla:

The bulb needed is type 1157. After opening the trunk you need to remove the trunk liner on the side (right side for this example)where the brake light bulb is out. The plastic capture grommets hold the liner in place. Once the grommets are removed there is a nut (10mm) that is a bright brass-like color. This needs to be removed. Then on the outside of the trunk on the tail-light lens left side there are two nuts black in color (10mm) they need to be removed. Now the fun starts .... you needto slide the whole assembly back. You will note two black plastic posts on the rear quarter-panel, do not remove these ... these are used to hold the tail-light assembly in place since on the inside of the tail light assembly there are two rod-like protrusions that slide into these brackets. So.... remove the screws and wiggle the assembly back and it "should" slide back so that you can get at the bulb socket hat you twist to remove from the assembly. Now the bulb is visible and you reverse the order of steps to get it all back together .... a miserable design!

How do i change burned out parking lights on 1996 toyota corolla

The burnt out parking light can only be accessed thru the trunk.

Open the trunk and remove the panel covering/ protecting the bulb compartment.

Then you turn the bulb to the left. Easy does it.

Good luck.

How to change a headlight on a 1993 toyota corolla

How to Change Headlights in a Toyota Corolla. :--- the procedure is as follows:-------- 1)Unfasten the battery cables on the Toyota Corolla with an open end wrench and remove the battery from the engine compartment. Set the cables aside so that they do not come into contact with each other or any metal parts. 2)Remove the coolant and water containers that are in the engine compartment near the front of the motor by undoing the brackets that are holding them in place with a socket wrench and moving the containers aside. They only need to be moved enough to provide you access to the area behind the headlamps and do not need to be drained.3)Locate the headlight plug on the back of the headlight and turn the plug 1/4 turn counter-clockwise to loosen the plug. Then pull it straight back to detach it from the headlight.4)Locate the clip on the side of the plug and push it in and up to detach the old headlight bulb. Take the old bulb out of the plug and place the new bulb in the plug using a clean cloth to handle the bulb.5)Push the new bulb in to the plug and turn it until you hear the clip lock into place. Insert the plug into the back of the head light assembly and turn it 1/4 turn clockwise to secure the plug. 6)Repeat this procedure with the other headlight bulb and then move the coolant and water containers into place and secure then to the vehicle. Put the Toyota Corolla battery back in the engine compartment and reattach the battery cables. Thats it. This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

How to change low beam head light bulb on the passanger side of toyota corolla 4 door sedan 2002 model

you will have to go under the hood and get to the back side of the light assembly-there should be a cap or cover with wires going thru it. Remove that. If it is a cap it should rotate counter clockwise and come off. Your bulbs MAY have a spring or clip that holds them in-it will look like a bent paper clip. That is "supposed" to squeeze and release. Unplug old bulb, plug new bulb in (DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS PART) and reassemble

Light in toyota corolla VE 98, automatic gear shifter is not working how to fix it?

you have to remove the screws (or bolts) inside the center console compartment. pry up the little ring around the shifter. pull up the e-brake and pull that whole assembly up. once removed there is a small 194 bulb located on the drivers side on the bottom. you should see the little black base. twist counterclockwise to remove. replace bulb and reinstall

How do i change a front headlight in a 98 gs400

If you are looking to remove the entire headlamp assembly, the one bolt under the bumper can be reached by either removing the bumper entirely, or just removing the bolts for the bumper and sliding the bumper out just far enough so that you can peel it back and reach that one headlamp assembly bolt.

If all you need to do is replace the bulb, you can remove the grey plastic cover behind the headlamp by twisting it off, undoing the clips (push in then out and swing them down), twisting off the bulb holder (attached to metal braided cable) and slowly sliding it out. Pushing in and twisting on the bulb will allow you to remove it. Keep in mind, space is limited and it is a bit tricky doing all of this, but it is do-able, without having to remove the entire headlamp assembly.

Remember to wear rubber surgical gloves if handling new HID bulbs and use extreme caution when reseating the holder after bulb replacement. Getting the clips back on after reinserting the holder is a bit tricky, just watch that the braided cable isn't in the way, swing the clips back up, push in toward the front then toward the center allowing them to catch under these little grooves/slits which hold them in place.
