Check your input or output sensors on top of tranny. Check engine light?

no problems before the mud deal but problems after the mud deal means that the problems started in the mud
check for mud in connections , wires disconnected , harness problems, vacuum hose to actuator broken or missing
run the fault codes to help point to a problem area
the transmission is sealed so there will be no need to change the oil or filter--just clean and check everything that is mud affected

i have the same problem but i did not replace the engine. my 1993 isuzu rodeo 3.2 liter 2wd is doing the SAME THING. it all started when i bought the car and noticed at night the back door dome light was staying on even with the door shut. i used a bolt to temp. fix it until i could get a switch. after a few weeks i was driving and my car just died. i got a jump start and took it to my garage and charged the batery on a low charge. the next day it started and i drove it just out of town and it just quit. i took the batter home, charged it, and it would start. i noticed the positive cable was extremely coroded. i replaced the cable and after that it wouldnt start at all. it would just turn over and not get a spark. it would crank and not start. i check the fuel pump and filter and it was clicking. i took my altanator out and had it tested and it failed. i tested the spark plugs and NO SPARK. then i replaced the 3 solinoids, and the panel the solinoids sit on with new parts from auto zone. im lost too.

Check your tranny fluid I had a similer issue with a different truck and it was a clogged trans filter which caused it to pump the fluid up the dip stick I changed the fluid and didn't have an issue again until I blew the engine. So I would change that first regardless.

i take it you are talking about for the winshield washer fluid. pop the hatch and it should be located there on the side

your transmission sencor may be malfuctioning or you need fluid

you're having the same problem i had with my 99 isuzu rodeo 2 wd 3.2 i paid a muffler guy over $600 to replace those catalytic converters, if you're good at welding you could do the welding yourself after buying the catalytics, basiclly i seen them just cut them off and welded them back on

Isuzu had a problem with the altenator spiking and frying the trans. It would get stuck between gears and it would slip thur gears. The regulator goes bad and needs to be replaced. A local dealer sells the regulator. This was more of a problem in 95's but possible with 93.
