I disconnected the battery and the radio is showing code0000, but I have lost the pin. How can I reset the password? Grand Vitara owner (2007)

good luck finding a Suzuki car dealer, they bugged out.

in the fuse box of all cars. if still stock radio.
the owners manual lost, well buy one?
on my gv the engine bay box, is marked, CIG
and the oper guide, page, says, GIG,RADIO, mirrors.
the manual is 4 bucks
why no just DL it.

Try disconnecting battery. Then re-connect the battery and type in the correct code.

You could try the factory default code, which is 0000. There is some confusion whether Suzuki/Clarion produces these audio units with a preprogrammed lock code (0000) or not, but its worth a try. If a previous owner has set their own personalized code then there is absolutely NO way for you to work around it. The audio unit will have to be removed and returned to Clarion for reprograming. A Suzuki dealer can help you with this, but they can not unlock the radio, only Clarion has that ability.

You need to reset the engine diagnostic codes. I use an OBDII diagnostic tool to do it. Or perhaps disconnecting the battery for a while might do it.

Most radios have a security code that must be entered into the radio before the battery is disconnected. In the event that the code was not entered or was not available, the security system will lock the radio so it won't work. It is an antitheft feature. If you have the owners manual, it should have a toll free number you can call to get assistance in aquiring a new code to unlock the radio. You can also call a dealership and they can assist you.

You need to remove the radio/cd player from the dashboard and open the CD player to get the CD out.
You can remove the whole front panel. 6 screws at each side underneath the alu xxxxx must be removed. After this the whole panel can be mover forward and the connectors on the backside can be disconnected. Now you are ready for opening the radio/cd player. tahe of the top cover and remove the cd
