Here I assume that by refering to the 3rd light which means the one in the middle works fine.If this is so then it means that your brake switch located near the pedal are working perfectly here..So next thing you need is a meter and read the voltage reading at the connection point of the wiring to both indicators or brake light connection.Hopes this gives you an idea what to do.Good luck

My honda accord 2001 is having brake light issues. 3 of the 4 "lower" brake lights will not work and the dash board light is on. The trunk lid lights are working fine. When I put the bulbs from...

Some bulbs are dual function and others are single function. You may be installing the wrong type bulbs in the sockets. Look in the sockets and see if there are two contacts at the base, or a single contact. You can look at the base of the bulbs and see if they have two solder connectors or a single on. Sounds like you need to recheck all your brake sockets to be sure.

While driving i stopped at a light the car started to shake then the tcs and check engine light came on its a 2001 honda accord coupe v-6, what could it be, it feels like it does not accelerate...

Does it only happen when you use the brakes? It could be a warped brake disc or a fault in the braking system. TCS and ABS use the brake system to operate and a fault could drag on the brakes killing your acceleration. Get it to a good mechanic soon so he can check it isn't a serious problem.

I have a 99 s10 tail lights and blinkers work but brake light dose not however the 3 rd brake light dose

you may want to visually inspect the light bulb as they can have multiple elements in them that do different functions, if its not that try your fuses and if that does not help it could be a short in your wiring but I would hope against that because it can be a pain to find.

2001 Accord coupe Codes P0505 - P0700 - 40-01. Any ideas? Trans does not always shift down to 1st. when I come to a stop. Mainly when engine is cold. About 114,000 miles.

those are manufactor specific codes and if u go to an offical honda site these year accords have serious known transmission problems that are still covered by the dealer even though out of warranty

Brake lights not working

Having the sa but haven't replaces the brake switch. The owner's manual for my 99 accord indicates the the fuse is located behind a panel that is viewable when you open the door on the driver's side. There is a panel that you remove (pull off) to expose the fuses. The brake light fuse is the third one from the top on the left. 7.5 A
