Re-ribed at 160K bits same problem exist when played back on Hyundai car radio. Is there a way to clean the CD player or repair the unit?

My hyundai sonata 2004 model car cd player detecting only first 17 songs in any of the music CD, please help me to fix that problem

If you are using a non music CD to record, then it wont see any of the songs past a certain point and it depends on how they are made and what format they are in.

How do i use the mp3 player option in my 2006 passat

MP3 means that you can record a cd of data ,700mb about 6cds on one disk and play it ,size depends of on velocity of the music ,192 or whatever its been recorded at .the faster the speed the less you will get on a disk

The cd skips When I put a new cd in, it begins at one then skips to much higher numbers. I have cleaned the cd. Used a laser cleaner disk and I do not know what else to do. Am very frustrated. I have dried...

The "read-ahead" memory cache is too short.
Not much you can do, short of replacing the player; however:
Does your CD player support playing MP3's?
Convert your Audio music CD's to MP3.
The same audio music is "smaller" in MP3 format than audio format. More of the song can fit in the memory cache so it is less likely to "run out" of mermory and skip.

Same here with 2008 CRV

MP3s are a different format from a regular CD. You can use an MP3 player through the AUX jack, but not a CD with MP3s on it.

Rattling sound 0-20 mph comes and goes, 6 disc cd changer skips

Howdy,
the rattling sounds like its the hydrolic lifters (tappets or cam followers called also) not really a hard job just a pain cause you've to strip the engine to pieces to do. Its very time consuming so unless you've some experience i'd place this in the hands of an experienced mechanic. This should also stop the smoke problem.

The engine service light is on a timer from service to service so thats nothing to do with it.

The cd player your right about it just need the lazer llens cleaned. You can buy a cd cleaner kit for cheap in any music/record store.

Hope this helps if not let me know and I'll try and find the solution

Cheers

How to download songs to the MP3 player

iTunes is an application that allows the user to manage audio and video on a personal computer, acting as a front end for Apple's QuickTime media player. Officially, using iTunes is required in order to manage the audio of an Apple iPod portable audio player, although alternative software does exist. Users can organize their music into playlists within one or more libraries, edit file information, record Compact Discs, copy files to a digital audio player, purchase music and videos through its built-in music store, download free podcasts, back up songs onto a CD or DVD, run a visualizer to display graphical effects in time to the music, and encode music into a number of different audio formats.

You have to download iTunes software and make a playlist then sinc the ipod.

Volvo nav system "cant read disk"

Try using a can of compressed air to blow dust out of the unit. Insert the tub into the area where the disk is normally inserted. Blow the compressed air and remove dust which may be covering the lens which reads the CD. Also, try a different "Music" CD, be sure it is not an MP3 CD.
