I couldn't find any particular information on your Renault, however there are typically 2 sensors located in the exhaust stream.
One pre-lambda and one post lambda. The pre is located in the exhaust stream close to the cylinder head and the post is located after the exhaust catalyst.

The lambda sensor checks the car is running the correct air/fuel mixture, it is situated near the exhaust manifold, usually screwed into the catalyst.

A zigzag light on my renault megane scenic 1998 comes up while driving and then the vehicle becomes hard to accelerate. what is the remedy

it will need to be plugged into diagnostics as it indicates an electrical fault, could be lambda sensor, heater plugs and more if you don't get it diagnosed you will be just throwing money at it by replacing random parts

What is the function of lambda sond? it's good or bad ?it's about what?

First used in February of 1977 on Volvo B21 four cylinder engines, the Lambda-Sond system was an emissions reduction system which used three key components working together:-

1) Lambda Sensor. An exhaust gas composition sensor to monitor chemical composition of engine exhaust gases; especially NOx (oxides of nitrogen) which feeds data to the engine control system. In simple terms it's an oxygen sensor positioned in the exhaust pipe before the catalytic converter.

2) A feedback loop providing information to the engine control computer that enabled more precise control of the fuel injection system.

3) A catalytic converter.

This system greatly reduced exhaust emissions while allowing much better performance and fuel economy. It proved to be a key to restoring the performance lost by the addition of emission controls on vehicles. It was the forerunner to modern electronic engine management systems that eventually appeared as similar systems on all road-going vehicles.

So it's a very, very, good thing and like all similar systems requires periodic maintenance and repair, usually the parts which fail are the lambda sensor and/or the catalytic converter.

I hope that my speedy and free reply has met your requirements, if so then please take a brief moment to rate my answer.

Can you tell me what a lambda sencer does and how does it affect the engine,as my engine light comes on but dosent stay on but when on reduces power.thank you it is a vauxhall astra club 2000 16v did not...

Not sure, but I believe the lambda sensor is the feedback sensor, to determine if the mixture really is right.
On most cars that is the oxygen sensor I believe, and is located in the exhaust manifold or the top of the exhaust pipe.
