SOURCE: have trouble codes in my car

call your local caddy dealer and tell them what the codes are in the service department... they will probably tell you what you need to do or at least clarify what they mean good luck ray

SOURCE: Received gm dtc 46 code for 1995 Chevy Beretta -

Left Bank Fuel Imbalance, this is caused by dirty or cracked injectors. If the injectors are clogged, then it requires to be cleaned , if its cracked or worn out,m replace the injectors. The worn out out injectors are not letting the flow of fuel to run smoothly. But if injectors checked out, then clean the IAC , the idle air control valve, the fuel injector, the o2 sensors and throttle body. The IAC is located on throttle body.Clean both the IAC and throttle body with throttle cleaner. The throttle cleaner can be easily available at local auto parts stores.Clean this parts and check.this should help. Get the fuel pressure test done.If the fuel pressure tested low, then its faulty fuel pump causing the low fuel problem. It has to be replaced.-------- This should help.Thanks.Helpmech.

Knock sensor for 2007 Saturn outlook. I can't pass emissions test!

Check engine light on ? What code ? There are many different (DTC'S) - diagnostic trouble codes that can set for knock sensors ! There all don't mean that you replace the sensor .
DTC P0324: Knock Sensor (KS) Module Performance
DTC P0325: Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit Bank 1
DTC P0326: Knock Sensor (KS) Performance
DTC P0327: Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit Low Bank 1
DTC P0328: Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit High Bank 1
DTC P0330: Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit Bank 2
DTC P0332: Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit Low Bank 2
DTC P0333: Knock Sensor (KS) Circuit High Bank 2

The knock sensor (KS) system enables the control module to control the ignition timing for the best possible performance while protecting the engine from potentially damaging levels of detonation. The sensors are located below each cylinder head on the engine block. The KS produces an AC voltage signal that varies depending on the vibration level during engine operation. The control module adjusts the spark timing based on the amplitude and the frequency of the KS signal. The control module receives the KS signal through 2 isolated signal circuits. The control module learns a minimum KS noise level at idle and uses calibrated values for the rest of the RPM range. The control module should monitor a normal KS signal within the noise channel.
Knock Sensor Replacement - Bank 1
Remove the exhaust manifold lower heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Lower Heat Shield Replacement.
Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the bank 1 knock sensor (2).
Loosen the knock sensor bolt and remove the knock sensor.
Knock Sensor Replacement - Bank 2
Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
Remove the engine oil filter. Refer to Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement .
Lower the vehicle.
Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the bank 2 knock sensor (3).
Loosen the knock sensor bolt and remove the knock sensor.

I keep hearing that I need to find and pull fuse 14 on my 96 subaru legacy 2.2L to try and reset the AT Oil Temp light that is flashing at start-up. The lid is missing, so I have no idea where this fuse...

Yes that is right:

Current trouble codes shown on the display are cleared by turning the ignition switch OFF after conducting self-diagnosis operation. Previous trouble codes, however, cannot be cleared since they are stored in the ECU memory which is operating on the back-up power supply. These trouble codes can be cleared by removing fuse 14 (located under the right lower portion of the instrument panel).

  • The No. 14 fuse is located in the line to the memory back-up power supply of the TCU and ECU (MPFI). Removal of this fuse clears the previous trouble codes stored in the TCU and ECU (MPFI) memory.
  • Be sure to remove the No. 14 fuse for at least the specified length of time. Otherwise, trouble codes may not be cleared.
When the Engine Control Module (ECM) , battery terminals, etc. are disconnected after memory is cleared, idling speed may increase. This is not considered a problem because the ISC Valve duty controlled learning value has been cleared. To return the engine to idling speed, idle for approximately 2 minutes with air conditioner "OFF".

Here is fuse #14 loc in panel Now its hard to see, but they go from the top left from 1 - 7 then it repeats for the next row 8 - 14. SO 14 is 2nd row from the top last one on right side.

Battery No Charge and Error codes

These are for 4.9L

P016-generator voltage out of range--Voltage is below 10 volts or above 16 volts with engine at 500rpm.

P030-Idle speed control (ISC) out of range--Check ISC for operation

A047-very low A/C refrigerant condition warning--check refrigerant level

I039-speed sensing suspension (SSS) fault--this one requires a lot of testing. Could be anything from bad connection at a strut, to bad ground, to bad strut.

I041-battery voltage too low--at 800 rpm, voltage is less than 10.6 volts

I052-keep alive memory error--means IPC lost voltage, and reset. Normal if battery was disconnected, or lost voltage.

These codes are for 4.6L

I039-loss of road sensing suspension (RSS) data--might need to replace rss module

P016-generator voltage out of range--same as above.
