Cabin Filter clogged ?

When the fan is turned on I get a load vibration under the dash. I checked the fan and it is ok . . . no debris in the cage, etc. When the fan housing is opened up, vibration disappears. Once sealed up, the vibration returns as if it cannot draw sufficient air through the system. Also, I did not see the cabin filter when I had the fan housing apart . . . is it located further left towards the drivers side ? If not a cabin filter problem, could it be a an AC issue ? I have tried to locate a cabin filter for this year Odyssey but no luck. Any suggestions ? Thanks.

Do you know for sure that there is a cabin filter located under that vent in a '96 ? I can't seem to locate a replacement anywhere. Any suggestions ?

Usually the cabin filter is located under the air draw that is directly below your windshield wipers. The air draw is the vents next to the windshield. Access is normally a few screws or bolts. Then replace the filter.

Testimonial: "Thanks . . . The vents are accessed from outside the cabin where the windshield meets the hood ?"

Yes the access is usually outside the car. No' I am not sure that there is a cabin filter. If you can't find a replacement there probably isn't one

2008 Ford Edge ac runs only sometimes.... If I hit under the dashboard it will turn on but only blows out a little cold air on the highest setting. If I open the glove box I heat tons of air blowing. I was...

It could be the blower motor resistor or even the blower motor. If you hear the air blowing with the glove box open but, none can be felt, check the cabin air filter. This filter can become clogged with leaves and debris that enter the HVAC box. The filter is located underneath the dash near the blower motor. The reason for some air flow after you hit the dash is it must be clogged and it clears enough to allow for the small amount of air to pass.

Where is the cabin air filter location on a 1994 mercury capri

1994 Mercury Capri ac does not have a cabin air filter. Weak air flow and bad smell could be debris in the fresh air/ac inputs. Check under the hood for debris where the air enters, the area under the wiper, and behind the vents inside, they get clogged if you park under a shedding tree...Chris

Dashboard vibrates when heater fan on 3 or higher

you have leaves or a mouse nest in the hvac fan, the fan is a squirrel cage type and is out of balance because of debris in it, you can remove it pretty easily by removing the screws under the dash and it will drop down and you can clean out the debris

Also check the fender drains. If they get clogged up the water will spill over into the air intake for the cabin. May have to remove to hood cowling the plastic under the wipers. The inspect from debris and if you have air hose blow the drain and vent out.

1996 Honda Odyssey. Loud vibration from heater fan behind dash. What is the best way to get to the fan / shroud ?

just above passengers feet area, pull the blower out, 3 or 4 bolts, most likely it has debris and leaves, making it out of balance. its also a good time to replace the cabin air filter. the cabin filter, you will need to remove the glove box, brace and cut a plastic brace out, the plastic brace was there for support when the dash was made, but now, it is no longer is needed

Honda accrod 04 ex..Blower Motor..A/c Fan

You probably hit one of the veins on the squirrel cage, mounted on the fan motor. You might be able to take the fan out and straighten these, to get the vibration out, if not you'll have to replace the whole fan. Good luck. I hope you can straighten it and don't have to replace.

2003 Impala leaks

There could be water filling in the HVAC intake located in front of the winshield. The drains may be clogged and not releasing rain water. Unfortunately the only way to resolve this problem is removing the entire dashboard and accessing the inner core of the HVAC system.

1999 Rav/4 does not have a cabin air filter.

My suggestion would be to remove the heater fan blower motor, under the glove box. 3 screws.
Look for debris in the fan motor "squirrel cage"...sometimes, the fan can **** small, loose papers out of you glove box
