Alero: low beams as bright as Daytime runners while brights work?

It seems that my low beams are very dim while driving at night, but high beams work fine. The low beams seem to be running on daytime running lights. Shouldn't the dim lights be brighter then the daytime running lights? what should i look for?

Look for the relay for the head lights,it may be bad. Also look for a bad ground. And check the bulbs too.

Have headlight problem 2002 chevy malibu v-6 on the dim side have electria current on both wires to the blub bright beams function normal

if you have power to both headlight plugs for each low and high beam filaments and the ground is good as you say the high beams function normally then you either have bad low beam bulb filaments, poor or dirty connection or you have a daytime running headlight relay on the car and that is the problem with the low beam lights.yes the high beams will work but not low beams if it is the relay.

My car crown victoria 2007 the headlights are on all the time night and day (without the auto )only they go off when i put it on the Parking mode

That is normal... (for safety in the daytime).

Notice that in the daytime, the HIGH BEAM lamps are lit, but they are "dim", not bright.

If you turn ON your headlights in the daytime, a different set of headlamps light up.

Hope this explains that....
Now you may notice "many" cars in the daytime with headlights on...

Cannot adjust low and high beam headlights separatlyLexus LS 430

Shine your head lights on a wall either in your garage or outside wall and re-adjust your head light back to were you think you had them last. Use the high beam and the low beam settings and you will be able to beam the light were you think they should be. Common problem with most new vehicles now days, low beams don't seem to be bright enough.

Brights work but dims dont changed the bulbs didnt help

You probably installed the wrong bulbs. Although the bulbs you bought may physically fit into place, they may be wired differently. Go to the auto parts store and look up the proper bulbs for your specific vehicle--don't just buy ones on the shelf that look the same. I have a friend who did that and the bulb he got was designed such that they high and low beams were reversed, so he always had one headlight on high and the other on low!

1998 acura rl headlights dim

I would think ur low beams are burnt (the bulbs) because that dim light u see should be the daytime running lights, which are usually less bright that the lights turned on.
Verify ur fuses as well for the low beams.
Check on that for now and get back to me if u have questions.
