How do I open the bonnet of a ford focus x reg

Bonnet meaning the trunk? Shoot some white lithium grease into lock. Push down a little on trunk lid while you jiggle key while turning. If doesn't work,let the rear seat down and pull the inside trunk release tab and check it out. don-ohio (:^)

latch is misaligned. Any body shop can correct

Try pulling up on the hood while the lock is operated.

check the breather hoses under the manifold front right of engine as you open the bonnet

lift the badge up on the front of the car and then use the key to open the bonnet simple

I also have the same problem with a 2007 ford focus. I have been informed that it is a common problem and that the barrel needs to be changed. I believe it is necessary to open the bonnet by trying to remove the panel/ covers from under the front bumper. I managed to get the panel off by removing about 8 screws but I was still unable to open the bonnet.

push the key right in and turn to the left untill it click open then turn to the right to open. if the key still doesnt turn try some lubracation eg wd40 spray.

On my 05 model, you need to twist the ford badge on the bonnet anti-clockwise, pushing the left side of the badge down, which will reveal a keyhole. This is then opened with your ignition key. Once the bonnet pops, you just need to release the bonnet catch.

Flip up the badge on the front radiator grille, put key in and turn one way to release first catch, then turn other direction to open.
