The radio in my 1996 Buick century had a clock light that did not go off when the car was shut off, so the battery would go dead after 2 days. Disconnected the radio and all was well. Getting ready for a new radio now.

The battery is bad. Take it out and have it tested.

1994 buick century goes dead when you put it in driveor reverse

you most likely only have a bad idle control sensor. location" on top of your engine, look for a round silver canister about the size of a D size battery with 1 electrical plug in,if by chance that you cannot locate it,take it to advance auto parts.they will be happy to assist you.it only has 2 screws that hold it onto your air induction/either a 10mm bolt or an 6mm bolt with 1 plug in.cost is about $20.00 it takes 15 minutes to replace BUT make sure to disconnect the negative cable to battery before you remove it. then after it's replaced, reconnect before you re-start your car. thank you for choosing fixya.com

Left the map lights on all day and now car won't start...1999 Buick Century...charged battery but still wont turn over

sounds like the battery got run down so far that it wont hold a charge-maybe take the battery out and take it to a parts store that can "load test"the battery-some testers can actually test the battery even if its dead-also when u charge a battery u have to make sure the clamps from the charger make a good connection. i read somewhere that everytime a battery goes dead it shortens the life of the battery-FYI most batteries last from 4-5 years if there are no other problems with the car.hope this points u in the right direction.

96 Buick Century stalls....

I spent endless time on this same problem on my 1992 Wagon. I changed out the computer but no help. It turned out to be the top dead center crank sensor that tells the system when the crank passes TDC. It is a small magnet essentially about the siz of a pencil eraser in the flywheel. it was cracked and occasionally would not "sense" and the car would just quit. troubleshooting was a nightmare because the computer diagnostics on the 1992 are less capable than the 1996 model. Anyway that is a relatively inexpensive fix and easy to know if it worked. Let me know how you solve this.
