If the code is not at the back of your manual, try 0000 and if the radio locked it self from taking any more codes. Just disconnect the battery and that will reset the radio so you can re-enter the code. If 0000 did not work then log on to Radio-code.com, you can get your cod there for like $12.00 which is cheaper then the dealer and you get to know the codes as most dealer will just unlock the radio. Good luck and hope this helps, keep me posted if you have any more question.

Do you have the manual for the radio?? sometimes there is the code in there! if not a garage can assist for a nominal fee! usually about £20.

What is radio reset code?

This was an anti-theft measure GM put in cars for a few years. If the radio is stolen it will show up as "locked" when installed in another vehicle. The only way to get the code that I am aware of is to take vehicle to a dealer and they can contact GM with the VIN number and get the code. With that they can unlock the radio.

Radio turns on, but no sound, locked

Unfortunately if you're radio's locked you have to take it to a GM dealership to have it unlocked - they have a 1-800 number they can call to get an unlock code, but the call has to come from a dealership rep with a valid dealer code.

97 Monte Carlo security system

The theft deterrent module probably isn't energizing the theft deterrent relay . Most of the problems with this anti-theft system is that the contacts inside the ignition key lock cylinder wear out an can't read the resistor pellet on the key or the wires on the back of the key lock cylinder break . This all mean the key lock cylinder probably needs to be replaced .Or you can do a by pass !

Gm delco theftlock radio wont turn on?

You have to enter the theft code which was set into the radio. The owners manual will tell you how AS LONG AS YOU HAVE THE CODE. If you don't have the code, any GM dealer will help you out and call in to get your code. They will want to make sure you own the vehicle.

I need the unlock code for a 1996 monte carlo delco radio. If anyone can help thank you!

The code may be written down on the back page in your manuel. If it's not there. Try 0000, the dealer may have the code but if there going to charge you something crazy. Go to www.radio-code.com. they should be able to help you for less then the dealer. Good luck and keep me posted.
