I have a 2002 Honda Civic. UK. The dealer disconnected power to the battery. How do I get the code to start the radio up again?

wow all that for a dead radio.. wny not google this.
there are like 1million posts on that.
and i have posted over 30 times HERE. the answer,

or any certified locksmith shop (and lists cars )

and older and all retro-fitted old cars.

Dealer only item - best of luck - just take it to your local dealer with the VIN # of your car it came out of and they will give you the operational code

Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for 3 minutes, and try again. The error message shouldnt be on when you insert the radio code, it wont work. I sure hope that the battery inside the radio didnt die, because it wont be able to retain the code, or the station presets. You will be amazed at how much better the aftermarket radios are. If unable to bring it back to life, do not hesitate replacing it with a well known brand. Most come with inputs to play pendrives and Ipods.

the code for my Honda is written on a sticker placed on the inside left wall of my glove compartment

you have activated the theft deterrent feature of your radio, u will need the code that came with the owners packet when the car was sold, if u don't have that u will need to pull the radio out and get the model and serial number off the radio and go to the dealer who can supply this unique code for your car from the Honda data base on your car when it was sold.

check in drivers door jam , glove box there should be a little sticker somewhere there with a 5 didgit code that will be youre code or in with youre owners stuff,once you try putting the wrong code in three times it will show error then you will need to disfconnect the - battery cable to try again, if you fcant find the code you will need to take to dealer and ask them for it they should have it if not you will need the serial number off the radio and they can get it with that

The code for the radio needs to be input. the radio must have been disconnected from the battery.
look for the code on a card in the glove box. if no card, then u have to pull the stereo out and get the serial # to the dealership.
