Kirk, I am not aware of any fuse to remove to make player work. Try cleaning the lazer/head. Check the attached links,instruction and guides, Good luck

If it will play a commercial CD, the problem is most likely in the CD burning process. Check your CD burning software settings. The CD software has to finish the burn so that any player can be read in any player. Otherwise it will only be read in the machine that did the burn.
I have found that any "burned" discs will not be read on older cd/radio combinations. The newer sets will tell you on the box what formats can be read...I also found this to be true on dvd players
It means that your CD player is not reading the CD , try a different CD and preferably original CD and see if it reads it then. If the CD player works ok then, you had bad CD and if it should read error again then the CD player it self is defective.
This is reading problem. Check your CD. If you have more scratches on your disc you ll have this problem. I suggest you to give your CD played for service so that they ll clean your laser head. I hope this will work out. Please rate this!!
Sorry bud, replace the cd player.... it's probably worn out. Check out the JVC, Sony, Pioneer and Alpine units for quality at affordable prices. HarmanKardon is better - except on your wallet :P
