99 ford Taurus won't go over 35-40 mph, however speedometer reads 120 mph from start. Tranny seems fine and no check lights whatsoever.

Scan the vehicle for fault codes first. Sounds like you need to check the vehicle speed sensor signal into the speedometer. If that is ok then send the speedo head out for repair.

Car just turns over wont start

When you turn on the key, the fuel pump runs for one second to bring the pressure in the fuel rail up to spec. If it does not do this, the car won't start. Have the fuel rail pressure tested. It should be between 35 and 40 PSI. Suspect the fuel pump relay. There could also be ignition problems, but make sure this pressure is ok first.

Intermittent fuel starvation, high rpm at idle restart eng all ok

You should verify you have proper fuel pressure. Check with a gauge when cold and hot. Possible clogged fuel filter is not allowing enough gas to feed engine. Verify pressure at idle and also under load when driving.

3 problems my truck will not accerlarte over 50. the engine light will then flash. Read codes pulls PO300-multiple engine misfire. New plugs, cap and rotor button. Nothing seems to help Also-when you...

I take it the truck has over 80,000 mils on it. Even though no codes suspect catalitic converter has melted from a honey come to a solid block of catilist restricting flow. should code o2 sensors if you keep running it. 4x4 actuater may have gone out due to excessive heat. vent door actuator may have lost the rod conecting it to the vent door. when enouphe air hits the door it opens all the way whitch just hapens to send all the air to defrost vents. Hope this info points u in the right directions

1988 Ford ranger 2wd 2.9 5 spd fuel mileage issue

this may be a correction the computer has done to make the system run as expected. the computers recheck themselves for faults and EPA regulations. this would be due to high mileage.
something to look for may be an intake leak in the manifold, as the engine will adjust itself to the extra air and not set a fault as the leak would not be big enough.

Compressor R & R

Mitchell says 4.8 hours on a DOHC 3.0.
2.0 hours on a OHV 3.0

You could also be charged up to 1 hour for reclaiming and charging.
