Today my 2006 corolla model started flashing the engine light. Then, a few minutes later my accelator started acting VERY VERY slow (as if it was jammed). When i stopped my car and started it again, it jumped and shook a bit and then later the engine just STOPPED and wouln't start up for a few minutes. Then again a started, but accelator pedel still seems to be jammed. My car has been used for 83, 000 km. PLEASE HELP !

A flashing service engine light means that there is a problem that could damage the engine emissions system.. This could be a bad spark plug or injector or many other reasons. You need to have a scanner put on the system and see what codes are are being set. AND do this asap. Most parts stores will not charge you for doing this.
The power steering works off the engine, so if engine not running, no power steering. It sounds like to me that a good place to start would be the fuel filter. If the fuel filter is plugged, it may allow enough fuel to go through to run the vehicle for a few minutes but not allow enough through to sustain continued operation. The fuel pump is also a consideration.
Does it run for a full minute or start then shut off within a few seconds?
If the latter, then it sounds like the anti-theft system has kicked in and needs to be reset.
Is the engine light on? if so connect it to a scan tool (ebay approx $100) or a dealer will have the scan tool for it. it is probably a sensor acting up that needs to be replaced.

I have a 2006 Corolla that needs ti get towed to the dealer. I think it's the ECM problem. My brother has a 2006 Matrix and the ECM was replaced in his a few months ago, at no cost to him.
